Owyhee Field Day...

Brady was persistant that I go with him on his field trip.  This was my group for the day...Aurora B, Callie C, Infinity H. (hiding in the back) Ernest R, Payo G, Gabriel O, Brady, Kaylee M, Toby E. and Ruperto H.
They had fun building there own river habitat.  Thayne taught this station.
Learned about preventing fires and got to shoot the fire hose.
They even gave me a try!

Brady was upset he couldn't throw rocks!
Kaylee is so cute!

Hope this friendship last!
On our hike to the Dam

We only made it to the 2nd floor of the dam but it still seemed super high from the water and it was kinda scary when he told us we were 200 feet under the water.  I also learned that there is still concrete that has not cured from 85 years ago when it was completed in 1932.  I believe they started the project in 1915.  I can't believe I have lived here for all my life and this was my first time going through the dam.  I have always loved it here.

Father & Son Bonding...

Brady was complaining about being bored so Scott came up with this fun activing.  I wanted to get some things done around the house and Kacie was gone so they had a little father/son bonding time...4-wheeling at the sand dunes!  So grateful to be married to such a patient and loving husband to me and father to our children.

Love these pictures he took...he loves his truck!
Brady gave this speech at school.  Scott and I were a little surprised because they don't always get a long but best but we thought it was so cute!

1st Hospital Stay...

Today we took Kacie to the ER at St. Luke's in Boise because she is just not getting better from the C-Diff.  They kept her over night for hydration and nausea.  Monday the 18th I had to take her in for a UTI and they put her on something for that and I don't know if it was the combination of drugs that is making her so sick or just the Flagyl from the C-Diff.  Dr. Jenkins said her Prograf levels were too high like around 9.6 so he lowered it to 3 mg three times a day instead of 5 mg in the morning and 6 mg at night.  It can't be too high or too low or it will damage her kidney and they like it around 5.  We are hoping by lower her anti-rejection medicine that will help keep Kacie healthier.

Being back at St Luke's has brought back a lot of memories for the two of us, so we both posted some throwback pictures on Instagram.  It was also so nice of some of her old nurses to stop by and give us some love.  (Mary & Alex) I just happened to be looking at old pictures of Kacie in the hospital back in 2008 and we looked through them together.  I was surprised how many are still working there...I think maybe only two or three had either retired or transferred to another hospital from all the many nurses Kacie had eight years ago.
It's hard to fathom how much time I have spent at St. Luke's between all the my kids...
They said Kacie could go for a walk around the hospital as long as she didn't touch anything because she is still in isolation.  We went to the gift shop and Mom was so cute with her and wanted to buy everything in the store for her.  Kacie ended up with these cute little critters.  Nothing like a grandma to spoil you!
We ended up leaving the hospital around 7-8:00 pm the next day.
Hope she is ready!

Brady's 5th grade & Last Science Fair...

Brady did a great job on his science fair project even though he didn't place.  It was pretty interesting learning about who in our family is left or right brained.  Scott, Brady and I are left and Kacie is right, but we all had a little of both.  Brady tested 27 people, 14 were left, 12 were right and one was both and that was Tara R.

I'm not sure who loved this Interactive Topographic Sandbox more...Brady or Scott?  As you build mountains and rivers it shows it on the computer screen.  They had a lot of fun with it!

Mom Visits Family...

Mom was able to take a quick trip to visit her brother and was able to attend the temple with them.

She was also fortunate to see Aunt Berniel...

Ontario Prom...

Treyton was nice to come see Kacie after school while she was sick and he brought this with him.  I think it said something like, "I would be a Dum Dum if I didn't ask you to Prom?"
I couldn't believe Kacie felt up to going to Prom but she went anyways.  They went to Boise and saw Zootopia and had lunch.  Then they went back to his house to get ready.  His sister wanted to do Kacie's hair and make-up.  To be honest I was a little hurt and jealous because I wanted to do it.  So I took Brady to see the new Jungle Book movie with Stacie and her kids.  During the movie Kacie sent me a picture which was nice.

Having fun with facetune...
cuties...

She said the dance was a lot better than Nyssa's.  I'm glad she had so much fun!

Kacie gets CDiff...

Kacie has been struggling with diarrhea off and on for a long time starting around March 19th.  I took her to the doctor finally on the 23rd and they gave us everything to collect a sample but then it stopped.  It came back with a vengeance the second week of April and so on the 14th we took her sample from the night before and her to see Dr. Dunbrasky.  She agreed with me that she needed fluids and so they gave her an IV to help replenish her.  We decided they must have given her something else in that IV.  Sometimes you just have to laugh when the going gets tough.
On Friday we got the call from the doctor's office that she had CDiff and that we needed to start her on Flagyl right away.  I was at work when I got the call and I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone to pick it up for me so I left, picked up her meds and headed home to be with her.  We learned that it is a bacterial infection in the colon caused by too many antibiotics and that it can be hard to get rid of. ):

Brandon's 22nd Birthday...

Scott went and got Brandon after Sacrament meeting so we could have a dinner and party for his 22nd birthday.  We had brisket and ham with baked potatoes and salad, it was pretty yummy!  But the best part was how pleasant and loving Brandon was.  I haven't seen him like this in a very long time.

Love these pictures of Brandon and Kacie together!

I showed a slide show that I made for him a few years ago and Brandon sang along to every song.  It was hard for me not to tear up watching him.

I sure love this family of mine!

Brandon got a used PlayStation 2 with some Oreos and body spray from us.  Stacie's family got him some basketball shorts and some movies.  Mom and Dad gave him some more movies and pop.  Scott's parents got him some chocolate covered almonds and berries.  Valeda also got him some pop and Grandpa Joan gave him some money.  We sure appreciated everyone that came to support Brandon on his birthday!

After everyone left Scott played some more music videos for him and he was still enjoying singing along.  We had such a great visit it was really hard to let my parents take him home, but was really grateful for their willingness to do that for us.  The next day I called Julia at his group home to share some of the pictures from our party and she said he was still happy and having a great day.  She added maybe he should celebrate a birthday everyday! lol
