Trip to Washington & Orchard...

Brady decided he would rather travel with Mom and Dad to Washington to see Chris & Stephanie's new baby instead of going to the air show.  They were gone from August 24th through the 26th.  He was so cute holding their new baby girl, Alice Jane Carter.  She was born August 19, 2023, at 3:47am and weighed 6 lbs 13 oz, and was 18.75" long.

Mom made this adorable quilt for them.  It's a duck, duck, goose quilt. :)

I'm glad they had a nice visit.  

They also got to see Jason & Brooke's new home and visit with them for a while.  

On Tuesday, August 29th Brady and I helped pick peaches at the orchard with some of the ward members.

 

Air Show...

Kevin invited all the family that could go, to the air show in Boise on their family day August 25, 2023.  It's a chance for them to practice for the air show the next day.  It was so nice to watch the planes without the huge crowd.  Kevin had to come to the gate to let us in.

After we got in and settled we had to get us some yummy drinks.

It was so fun to see Stephen and Barrett, he's so cute!

We walked around and looked at all the planes.  Steve and Stephen did the simulator and we watched Little Bear.  They didn't look too good after and said they would never do that again. haha!  We got some cute pictures of him.

These jets are so cool.  I absolutely love watching them and I love our military.

This picture is so adorable and it was a live one so you could see Barrett turn to watch the jet that is flying behind them in the picture...too cute!  It was a fun day!  Thank you Kevin!

Brady Receives His Temple Endowments...

We were so excited to go to the temple with Brady for the first time receiving his endowments.  He was pretty nervous but he did so well.  It was fun for him to go through with Emma Romans so there was a lot of support for both of them. 

We weren't able to get a picture with everyone but it was fun to get these.  Brady chose to go to Costa Vida for dinner after.  Weston, Lori, and Jaynee were there waiting for us when we got there.  It was a special night.  We are so happy for Brady.

Brady's Awards...

Brady and I went to his Youth Rising Awards night.  Brady got two awards this time which was surprising.

He got the Bull Award which is reliability. 

He also got the Owl Award which is learning and asking questions.

We were disappointed they didn't have food, but only cookies so we went to Panda Express after.  We are so proud of Brady and his willingness to work, be dependable and improve his skills.

My Garden & Hi-Cliffs...

It was been so fun to have my own little garden.  However, the only things I was good at growing this year were my strawberries and cucumbers, haha!  My marigolds looked pretty good too.  And we were so happy that our cucumbers weren't bitter, they were so good!

On August 15, Brady and I drove up to Hi-Cliffs with Gerald and Wanda to visit with Travis and Natalie and their cute little family.  We wish that more would have been able to come but it was fun getting to see them.  They were pretty frustrated that all the bathrooms were locked which is totally understandable.

 

August Birthdays...

Tara gave me this pretty arrangement for my birthday when she came to watch Brady open his mission call.

On August the 13th we all got together to celebrate all the August birthdays at Ron and Stacie's. It was so nice of them to host since they both had a birthday. :). It was fun to have Travis and Natalie's family too.

 

Brady's Mission Call...

Brady received a lot of support while opening his mission call.  He starts September 7th.  I can't believe how fast that will be.  We are so proud of Brady with his desire to serve and be a light of Jesus Christ.
