Disneyland!!! (Nov 6-11)

We were so excited to start the long road trip to California and Disneyland. Going wasn't too bad because everyone was so excited. Somewhere along the way Scott bought Brady this lollipop and it was the best thing because it lasted almost the whole trip.

Jocelyn was suppose to go with us and the night before we were to leave her mom told us she wasn't going to let her because her head still hadn't recovered from a concussion in gymnastics.  We were all crying we were so upset.  I took her some peanut butter bars and we gave lots of hugs.  Sydney promised she would send the two of them later with Smitty. We sent lots of snapchats during our trip and Kacie took the phone case with Jocelyn's picture on it.
We arrived at the Holiday Inn around 9;30 and were pretty excited when they gave us an upgrade with these bunk-beds and Xbox.  The kids loved them.  It would have worked so go with Jocelyn too because then we didn't need a roll away.
Brady was also excited to go swimming and  it was so nice and relaxing plus still warm outside too!  I stayed with him while Scott and Kacie went to get our Knott's Berry Farm tickets from his friend that got them for us half off.

And we are finally off to the happiest place on earth.  When I booked our hotel I got us shuttle passes and it worked so much better than having to pay for parking and walk forever.  This way we got dropped off right at the gate.  I was also able to get free breakfast during our stay with these $10 vouchers.  It was nice to have a hot breakfast each morning.
We grabbed a fast pass to Radiator Springs first and then we went to the Bug's Life Show.  It's cute! I'm glad Brady liked it.  Then we hopped over to Disneyland...

Thunder Mountain Railroad...

We only had to wait about 10 min. for Splash Mountain...Perfect time of year to come!
Scott cracks me up!!
This ride is so much fun!
It was fun to all go on the Winnie the Pooh ride for the first time!  None of us have ever been on it surprisingly!

We all loved the haunted mansion! It was perfect because we still got a taste of Halloween mixed in with Nightmare Before Christmas!

Brady's first meltdown when we took a selfie without him while
waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion.
It took us a little while to get him to calm down.  Luckily we didn't have too many of these.

Brady and I went through Tarzan's treehouse! Before that we went on Pirates of the Caribbean and basically walked right on.  I don't think I have ever done that before.

These dole whip pineapple floats were soooo good!
Then we headed back to California Adventure.
We absolutely love Cars Land...
and Radiator Springs!!!

This Mater ride was funner than it looked. We were pleasantly surprised.

Brady was scared to go on California Screaming because of the loop, but that ended up being his favorite ride and rode it six times over our three days.

We never rode this ride because none of us wanted to get that wet. Haha!

I've never seen It's A Small World at Christmas time and it's a must for anyone that has never seen it.  They even transformed the inside.  It's amazing!!! We also loved the World of Color, Fantasmic and the fireworks!

One worn out boy!!
Day two started on Soaring...we only waited about 10-15 minutes.

I was so glad the kids liked the Aladdin show so much.
We even went two times and its so fun because the jokes are different.

Brady's first and last!  At least he tried it!
Brady loved watching California Screaming too!
I loved this salad and ate it twice while we were there.
This girlie is so fun!

Love, Love, Love this picture of Kacie with Woody!!!

One of our favorite things at Disneyland is eating all the yummy food!
Brady loved Goofy's Sky School too!
We had an awesome view of the Pixar Parade and some popcorn! The kids loved it and Kacie got one of the Monster characters to point at her hat!  It was cute!
Take 2
Then Scott went with him again on CS while Kacie and I went on the Tower of Terror again!

We loved the pickle flavored popcorn and the Red Apple Freeze!

Luigi's Flying Tires are fun but not worth the wait.

Radiator Springs take 2...love it everytime!

Day 3

Thunder Mountain Railroad take 2
Then Brady and I went to get seats at a Mickey show while Scott and Kacie went to get a fast pass for Splash Mountain.
Love all these pictures of Kacie with Jack!
We were lucky and didn't have to wait too long either.

That's one big yummy corn-dog!

We all enjoyed this ride too for the first time ever!
One way to spend your time in line...taking pictures!!
No one quite like Mickey!!!

We thought there was a 45 minute wait to see Mickey so the kids and I just wanted go through his house and Scott said he would wait for us outside.  However, once we got through Mickey was there so we lucked out big time but disappointed that Scott wasn't with us.
Goofy's house!
Splash Mountain take 2...Scott's so funny!
I got soaked this time!
Brady's 4th ride...I think!

Brady's 5th or 6th ride with me while Scott went with Kacie on Tower of Terror!

Toy Story Mania is a fun one too! Heck their all fun!
Brady was tired so Scott took him back to the Hotel around 10pm and Kacie and I stayed and got some hot chocolate and then we went on It's a Small World again and Mr. Toad's Wild ride.  Then we did some shopping and said our goodbyes.

One of the stores I wanted to go to was closed so I went back the next morning while everyone else was showering and packing up then they came and picked me up and we headed to Knott's Berry Farm.  That was a big disappointment from being at Disney for three days.  We went on three rides then started heading home.  However, the Excelerator ride was so fun!  I've never experienced anything like it.  The most instense ride I have ever been on.  It went 82 miles an hour in 2.3 seconds and went up 210 feet in the air.  We all loved it including Brady except you can't tell by the picture below. Haha!

Checking up on Jocelyn...
The only pictures we took at Knott's Berry...
We were hoping to get through the LA traffic without too much delay but we still got to experience it whether we wanted to or not. We stopped for dinner at Red Robin and then Scott found this amazing frozen custard shop.  It was so good! I had cheesecake custard with lemon & pineapple Italian Ice.  It was heavenly.  We then headed to Bishop and stayed the night there.

Love these two! They were so much fun!

Thanks heavens for music and DVD players.
Looked like snow but it's just their horrible soil.
No fun traveling home but we sure had a fun trip!

Stake Primary Presidency Training Meeting

I have loved this quote from Elder Holland and so we thought it would be a good theme for our Stake Primary Presidency Training Meeting.  With the help of my wonderful presidency we pulled off a great meeting.  I was pleasantly surprised by the great turnout we had and it was so nice to hear how much everyone enjoyed it.  I had one Bishopric member tell me how much he was dreading it but was so glad he came.  I designed the invitations and we gave one to each ward primary presidency member plus their chorister and the bishopric member over primary.
We split the meeting up into four quarters with half-time treats and our round table discussions and then OT.  Rachel spoke on music and we could have finished with hers because she brought such a wonderful spirit to our meeting.  Then Brother Roach spoke on commitment and did great.  We had shredded pork nachos for our half-time treats.  They were so yummy.  Then our 3rd quarter was me speaking on Reverence.  Anna took the 4th quarter and spoke on 'Teaching as the Savior Taught and did amazing as well.  President Jacobs took a few minutes to sum up the meeting and then Rachel put together a wonderful video of primary children from our Stake.  I really think it touched everyone to see their own primary kids.  Andrea gave a beautiful prayer to finish off our meeting.
Rachel did an amazing job on these center pieces of painted pumpkins to look like footballs and ordered the cute tablecloths.  Anna came of up with the cute little playbooks for people to take notes in and I made six of these round table discussions during the half-time treats that we put on clipboards.  We had everyone sit according to their calling so they could go over their different topics that we emailed them ahead of time so they could bring ideas.
These were our topics:
Presidents: How can we connect with, and love, each individual child and teacher?
Bishopric Members: How can we better support Primary presidencies with committed and prepared teachers?
1st Counselors: How can we make sharing time a more meaningful experience where the spirit is present?
2nd Counselors: How can we better include children with special needs and/or behavior issues and help them to feel the Spirit?
Secretaries: How can we reach out to those children who are not attending Primary? How can we better use Primary as a missionary tool?
Choristers: How can I be more prepared to teach, and present music and ideas thereof effectively?

Anna made the yummy pork for our deluxe nachos. Andrea did our Costco run and printed up the program.  We all brought a dessert to share.  I wish I got more pictures but I ran out of time before people started showing up.
Rachel came up with these cute music ideas and then let each ward take a different one home.  The wards loved them.
We make a great team!!!  I don't know what I would do without these amazing ladies.  One of the hardest things to being called as the Stake Primary President is coming up with names of people to work with and with Lord's help we did good.
