Brady's Graduation Party...

We decided to have Brady's graduation party on Saturday the 20th before his graduation so those who need to travel home on Sunday can do so.  We started decorating Friday the 19th and we were so grateful Ron and Stacie let us have his party in their shop.

Brady's only request was to have Costco cake.
I think we only had one slice left and that was for Brady. haha!

It was fun when Brady would show people his road trip plans.
I bought a stencil of a world map and some gold icing paint but that failed horribly.  It was way too runny and just dripped off the cake.  Thankfully Mom saved me when she helped me print a map on some rice paper.   Hopefully, Brady liked it, that's all that counts.  The great part is that it tasted great! (white cake with lemon filling and buttercream frosting.)
This was a fun game.  You had to guess where Brady was at.  A few people played but we never handed out the prize which was a box of candy with a Dairy Queen gift certificate.
It was so fun to have everyone sign Brady's globe as the guest book.
My favorite was when Kurt Romans signed by a ship and said Captain Kurt.(:
I can't believe my handsome baby is graduating.

It was fun Friday night when Rod, Travis and Grandma Joan came by for a little visit.
Mom made this super cute T-shirt quilt made from all of Brady's shirts over the year.
It turned out so good!  Everyone loved it!

It was so nice of Rosie, Kyle, and Mckinley to come support Brady!

Such cute boys! Or I should say, young men!
Scott smoked a yummy pork shoulder and he warmed up tortillas on Ron's Blackstone.  We had Costa Vida make the rice and beans.  We also had a veggie tray and chips and salsa. Plus we had water and a yummy fruit bunch that Scott found the recipe for.

It was so nice of Haily, Rosie, Cassie, and Preston to come.
And Preston was so nice to stay and help us clean up.
Cope Christensen
Tara was so nice to help us put up the balloon swag.

Nate Beck with Brook Walkers and her boys, Elder Bailey, Icke, and Crew.
I wish we were able to get a picture of everyone that came.

It was fun to see Brady playing cornhole with Mckinley, Kyle, and Kacie.  The party was a lot of fun and Brady was so happy with the great turnout.  He said, "I guess people do love me."(:
Donna Suell gave him the cute book with generous money.  So many people were so generous.  Brady was spoiled today.   It was fun watching him open his gifts.
Gma Sue was so happy Brady loved his quilt so much.  It is his new favorite!(:

Mother's Day, Brady's Last Day & Kacie's New Bike...

Scott made Hibachi for our Mother's Day dinner on May 14th.  It was so yummy!

Brady's last day of school and seminary was May 16th.  They had a nice breakfast with all their bishops and some of the Stake Presidency.  I love this picture they took of him being the only senior.
Pictured is Canon Hiatt, Cope & Ace Christensen, Hoss Johnson, Sam Jensen holding Brady then Kaylee Zinie & Lily Hale
Kacie got an E-Bike.
Now she can keep up with Cole on their mountain bike rides.
So fun!

Transplant Anniversary & Brandon's Review...

On May 11th I posted this picture and said, I can't believe it's been 13 years since Kacie received her kidney transplant.  We will forever remember and be grateful for this incredible gift of life from her onor and family.  We love you so much and are so proud of the way you are taking care of yourself all these years.
On May 12th we went over for Brandon's annual review.  I felt really bad we couldn't bring him home since we are so busy getting ready for Brady's graduation.  It was fun to get a couple of pictures with him.  I sure love my kids.

Brady's Junior/Senior Banquet & Ryan's Track...

Brady's Junior/Senior banquet was on May 9th.  They had a nice Tri-Tip dinner for all the parents and teachers of the juniors and seniors.  They also had a little tribute to all the seniors and then honored Gary Johnson for all his years of serving on the school board.
Kaden Anderson, Brady, Kyle Wilber, Ryker Thompson, Wyatt Marchek, Bennett Johnson & Branson Anzaldua
It has been so fun watching Ryan competing at Weber State.
He is doing the decathlon for the first time.

I stole all these pictures from Weber State's Instagram Account.

Planting My Garden...

I'm so excited to see my strawberries starting to grow...
I planted the rest of my garden on May 6th

This is the plan for this bed.

After I planted I worked on removing some of the old sod and roots so we can have a good base for our new grass.  Then Scott got us a couple of loads of dirt from a pond that Weston dug up on Grand Ave.  He was so nice to let us take some.  Then Scott had Chad from Steve's Backhoe Service bring out a guy to level it for us.  I was kind of surprised at how much dirt it took to fill in the hole from the garage.

He is a pretty handy guy to have around!(:

It is so fun to see everything coming together.
I still can't believe I painted our whole house by myself.

Graduation Preparations...

It has been so nice having this time off from work so I can get everything done for Brady's graduation.  I bought these 5x7 white frames from Amazon for centerpieces.  I also designed the little adventure quotes. I was pretty happy with how they turned out.  I also designed the pictures of Brady that we taped on picks to put in jars with flowers.  I thought they were cute too!

Mom and I made this candy/money lei.  I thought it turned out really cute.  Mom but about $57.00 on here which was so nice of her.
This is the banner we made for him to put by his gift table at the school.
On May 3rd Brady had his Senior Ditch Day.  I took him to Ontario to meet the other seniors to go to the Super Mario movie then they walked over to the bowling alley to eat and bowl.  He said it was a lot of fun.  After I dropped him off I bought this map so he could map out our road trip.  He talked about it with the young men at mutual.  I also made some chocolate cookies that he could share with the boys.  Everyone told me what a good job he did.  I was surprised that he even discussed the history of the US freeway system.  We decided it would be fun to put this up at his graduation party.
