On Sunday, March 24th the three of us headed to the Oregon Coast to stay in Lincoln City. On our way over we did some shopping at the Under Armour store in Woodburn. The drive over was so beautiful. We stayed again at the Seahorse Inn. It's not the nicest but we love having a view of the ocean from our room and it is affordable. After we checked in we headed to Mo's for dinner. We had a great meal and Scott even tried their cauliflower rice, which was really good.
We had a beautiful sunset our first night. It was fun to see the lights from the boats out fishing.
The next morning Scott and I went for a beautiful walk on the beach.
He is looking so good with all the weight he has lost and he is loving how much more energy he has.
We had a wonderful breakfast at Nelscott Breakfast House. It was fun to try something new and we really liked it. After our breakfast, I took back the sweatshirt I got at Mo's for a different one. I didn't realize the first one I got had a weird shape. Then the boys dropped me off so I could browse some of the antique shops while they went back to the hotel. We then drove to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We walked through the factory and had some yummy ice cream, grilled cheese sandwich, and tomato soup.
I took this picture on our way back. We tried to go back to Cape Kiwanda but the parking lot was under construction and we didn't want to walk that far plus it was a little rainy. We went back to our hotel for a little while trying to figure out our next dinner plans. As we were relaxing we watched a bunch of boys scratch out a football field and play a fun game of football.
We finally decided on Kyllos.
We had about a 40-minute wait but it was so worth it.
The view and food were amazing, a little pricing but so good.
The wait wasn't even that bad because we were able to sit outside and watch the sunset.
Brady had pizza, I had halibut and potatoes and Scott had a seafood soup. We all loved it!
We got a key lime pie to share for dessert. When she brought it out, the smell was a sensory overload. They dusted it with lime zest and it smelled and tasted amazing. I would go back just for the pie. The atmosphere was pretty cool too when the sun set we had a candlelit dinner. It was so fun!
The next day we checked out and went for another walk on the beach then headed home.
We stopped in McMinnville for some yummy smoothies and Scott had a yogurt fruit bowl
We also stopped at the Woodburn outlets again so Scott could get the jacket he was debating on getting before when we were there. We then stopped at Multnomah Fall and walked around and took a few pictures.
Brady had fun reinacting this picture from when he was five years old with Jocelyn.
We sent her the picture. :)
After our stop we got clear to Boardman when Scott realized he didn't have his phone. I tried calling it, he looked in the trunk and I finally looked on the find my phone app and we discovered it was about a mile past Multnomah Falls. We decided he must have put his phone on the roof of the car and we drove off and it fell off somewhere past the falls. We were all sick about it. We got some gas and then finally decided to try to go back and find it. We had no idea if it would be worth going back and adding four hours to our trip, but Scott didn't want to loose all his contacts. Our ride back was pretty quiet, we hardly spoke a word and I'm not sure if we even listened to any music. Brady told him this is the biggest mistake he has ever made. haha! We finally made it back and turned around at the Falls. When we were about a mile or two past I was looking on the app and telling Scott how far we were away from his phone. The app lead us directly to it. When Scott saw it he pulled over and ran across the road in the rain and grabbed it. It was just about six inches from the yellow line. To our surprise there wasn't a crack on it. The phone case was a little beat up and we had to let it dry out but it was perfectly fine. We couldn't believe it. So many things could have gone wrong, someone could have ran over it, it could have got ruined in the rain let alone gotten busted by falling off the car. Scott was so happy to have his phone back. We stopped at the Dallas and got some dinner and Dutch Bros. I took the picture below past Pendleton. The moon looked so big, the picture didn't do it justice. We finally got home around 2:30 in the morning. That was a long drivve home and boy was it hard to stay awake but we made it and Scott still had his phone.
Work the next day was super hard but I made it through it.
This was the sweatshirt I got. I think it is pretty cute.
It was a fun trip and definitely and memorable one. haha!
