Class of 2013 - Brandon's Big Day

Wow I can't believe this day has arrived!  So many mixed emotions, I have been a little cry baby the last few days.  It was a good thing that I was the one to walk with him otherwise I would have been in a puddle.
 Brandon's teacher Corey!
Brandon's buddy JD! He lived at the same home as Brandon until he moved into a more independent place.

It was defiantly an answer to prayers.  Brandon did really well and never got too anxious or worked up.

I thought it was really classy how he acknowledged the parents and the military in the arena.
The choir was beautiful!

These two seniors did an amazing job and were the only speakers which was nice.
Mom said that her and Wanda were in tears when Brandon's class and crowd cheered as we walked across the stage.  I was really surprised at the reaction he got.  There are so many nice kids in his class.

This man is Mr. Montoya, the Senior Vice President.  He was super nice and was constantly asking me if I needed help with anything.

 Singing the school's Alma Mater

Nice lady that works in Brandon's class.  I think her name was Jan.  I'm so bad at names.

This couple has also worked in Brandon's class.

After Brandon's graduation we went to Wendy's for lunch then Mom and Dad took Brandon to their house while we waited to see Brooke and Brittany's graduation from Eagle High School.

Such beautiful girls...so proud of you!

Brandon's Graduation Practice

Mom and I went over to Meridian High School to go with Brandon on their graduation walk through.  We were suppose to take a bus down to the Taco Bell Arena but because of construction they decided to just do it in their gym.  I was so glad, I was not looking forward to riding on a bus with a bunch of high school kids.  It was nice to see Brandon, especially because he was in a pretty good mood.

After the practice we met up with Kendalee and Maria at Costco to get all the food for the graduation party.

Brady's Pine Wood Derby

Brady's first pine wood derby...
All the boys from the Nyssa 1st and 2nd Wards.

Ryan wanted to come support and help Brady.
Buddies...I can't believe how Porter is sitting on his feet.
Explaining that I just painted the car.  Mom and Dad did the rest...pretty much the same with each boy. Haha!

I love these pictures of the top four watching their cars.  All the boys raced eight times then they had the fastest four race again four times.  We couldn't believe Brady made it to the top four.  He would get so excited watching his car.  We were really worried he would get upset if he was last but luckily we didn't have to worry about it.

2nd place!!! Look at that grin! Sure love this boy!

Award time!!!  He was so happy he got the Kit Kats!

Funeral and State Track

Had an emotional day starting with the funeral of one of the sweetest ladies I know, Sally Holmes Walker.  She is an amazing person and made everyone feel like they were the most important in her life.  The funeral was so good.  I loved how Jeff (her son) put a fun spin on her life and told about all the bad things about her.  It was so entertaining.  She also had a nephew (Tyler Walker) sing a beautiful song with the guitar that he wrote just for her.  Everyone on the program did wonderful.  She will be greatly missed.  After the funeral we went to Brook and Brittany's State Track meet in Eagle.  It was so exciting to watch them.  The only problem is that it was so crowded, we were packed in like sardines.
Brittany 100m dash 11.95aw  1st
Brittany 200m dash 24.87aw 3rd
Brooke 800m dash  2:21a     5th
Brittany's  4x100 relay 48.14 1st
Brooke & Brittany's 4x400 relay 3.58 1st

It was hard not to choke back the tears as we watched them.  I felt bad for Brooke because she had the 2nd fastest time in the 800m in the state with 2:16, but she got boxed in and couldn't break out so that is why she got 5th.  Before their 4x400 relay their girl's team was in 2nd and so they knew they had to win to get 1st.  Brooke ran the second leg and she looked really strong and got them a good lead then I don't know how Brittany pulled it off but she barely beat the girl next to her then just collapsed at the finish line.  A girl from behind us was recruiting from Utah State was very impressed and I even heard her say "Wow that takes a lot of heart."  Needless to say we were all teary eyed.  Good job Brooke and Brittany we are so proud of you!

Cake for Crayton

I made this cake for Crayton's 7th birthday! I thought it turned out cute but it was pretty time consuming.
