Stake Daddy, Daughter, Dinner, Dance...

Lots of fun and work preparing for this special night!

Lamar Roche, Rachel Johnson, me and Anna Long...we missed Andrea Roche who was home with her new baby girl! We have a great team! Rachel and I did the decorations, lollipop bouquets and candy leis...Anna did the food and it all turned out fantastic!  We had a lot of fathers tell us how much they enjoyed it and I loved seeing the girls having so much fun with their dads.  It made all the hard work worth it!

Me and Kids go to Utah...

Thursday, March 3rd I picked up the kids after school and we headed to Utah.  The kids are so easy to travel with and luckily stayed awake so I could.  We got to Rosie's around 10:00pm.  We helped her with a couple of projects for her Youth Conference and then went to bed.

Friday morning Rosie, Blake, Kacie, Brady and I went to the Provo City Center Temple open-house. In 2010 the Tabernacle had a fire that completely gutted this historic building so they decided to reconstruct it into a temple.  And it is so beautiful.  It is full of beautiful circular staircases and gorgeous stained-glass windows.  They tried really hard to keep it as original as they could even down to the doorknobs and hinges.

After we took these pictures we went to eat at Zupas and then went back to Rosie's so her, E.J., Kyle, Mckinley and Kacie could get ready to go to their Youth Conference at Alpine for the night.  So it was just me and the boys for the night.  We had fun together.  We went on a couple of bike rides and then I fixed them tacos.  Then we went to the store and got popcorn and treats for movies.  They finally all agreed on Monsters vs Aliens.  I think Brady and Braxton were they only two that stayed awake to the end. Haha!
My cute dates...
Saturday we went on some more bike rides and watched The Good Dinosaur and then I took them to see the new movie Zootopia.  We all loved it!  It was such a cute movie.

Our second date...
When we got back to the house they were back from their overnighter.  I was so glad to hear that Kacie had so much fun and even went skiing which she has never been a big fan of.  And that she met some new friends, which is always fun!

John and Debbie were able to speak to Rosie's ward at the conference and Kacie said she really enjoyed that too.  They said they had a testimony meeting and Kacie even bore hers which was shocking.  It was fun to listen to all their stories from the conference.  Sunday we went to their sacrament meeting at 9:00 and then we headed home.  I think it rained just about all the way home, but we made it home around 6:00pm.  It was a fast trip, but fun!!

Brady's Honor Choir...

Brady was one of 21 kids chosen to represent the Nyssa 5th grade in an Honors Choir.  They were picked based on ability to sing and learn new songs plus having good behavior.  They had only one practice with the other children from the Ontario schools which totaled around 100 maybe and then sang tonight at the Four Rivers Cultural Center.  They sang 'Enter with Singing,' 'I've Been to Haarlem,' 'Dry Your Tear, Afrika' and 'Shake the Papaya Down.'  They other Ontario High School and Middle school choirs also sang some songs and then at the end all the choirs sang 'Celebrate' together. All the choirs sounded great!
First time Brady has ever been too embarrassed to let me take a picture...

Group of kids from Nyssa...
I don't know why we couldn't get them all to look at the camera?

Brady's supporters tonight...love them all!!
We were all so proud of Brady.  I love that he likes to sing and even told me tonight that he wants to be in drama, which shocked me.
