Trip to NY and Toronto...

Kacie had an amazing opportunity to travel with Rosie, EJ and Kyle to New York and Toronto, Canada July 19th.  I had fun tracking Kacie on Snapchat as she traveled.  On their way there they had a three hour delay in Chicago, Illinois.  I thought this was funny of her stuck at the airport.
Finally made it to Buffalo, NY and then Rochester.

So awesome they were able to see the Sacred Grove.
So glad Rosie was still able to go with her bad knee.
Kacie said she really like seeing the sacred grove and the Hill Cumorah Pageant.
She also was able to see fireflies for the first time.

Peter Whitmer's home...

Niagara Falls...Kacie was a little bummed they didn't get to ride the boat closer to the falls.

So cool they got to do baptisms in the Toronto Temple.
I guess the hotel they stayed at in Toronto Canada was super nice.
However it only had one king size bed so they had to get creative and even bought an air mattress.
This was Kacie's favorite restaurant.  She couldn't remember the name but she had some yummy pasta and it was located in little Italy.  In Toronto they also got to go to the top of the CN Tower, went through a awesome aquarium and toured a castle called Casa Loma.  They also spent time in China Town and India Town.
 Such a cool picture.

View from the top of the CN Tower.

This was Kacie's favorite room in the castle.

Not sure what's prettier the castle or this girl...Oh I know my daughter!

My adorable daughter in China Town...
and India Town!
Headed home July 24...luckily no delays or long layovers.
So glad they had a great time!

Visit with Brandon...

Kacie and Brady left Monday the 17th to go with Mom to Utah while she watches Rosie's kids while she, EJ, Kyle and Kacie travel to New York and Toronto Canada.  So Scott and I had an early test of how empty nesters feel like.  Every night we went out to eat.  We ate at Taco Time, tried El Erradero for the first time, Panda Express and Friday Zupas.  After we picked up Brandon for a short, but very sweet visit.  We took him to his favorite...Dairy Queen!

We sat in a nearby parking lot for about an hour and jammed out to tones and visited before taking him back to his home.  He was pretty pleasant which was nice!
For some reason it's harder to take him back than other times and today was one of them. :(
Love, Love, Love!

Gerald's 77th Birthday...

On Sunday the 16th we celebrated Gerald's 77th birthday.  We had a great time with amazing food and company.  I made this lemon cake with lemon cream cheese frosting.  Hope everyone liked it!

We missed those that couldn't come!

Lexa, Gerald's niece posted this picture on Facebook to wish him happy birthday.  I thought it was so funny, but super cute!

Friends at Jump Creek...

These three had a lot of fun hiking around at Jump Creek.  I still can't believe they got Kacie to climb up this rock. (:
I think she was a little surprised too...but we were both proud that she did it!

 What a fun adventure!
Such cute friends!
We are all going to miss this!
Things won't be the same again after they go to college!
