President's Day...

This President's Day it worked out that Brandon's annual review was on the same day so Scott Brady and I headed to Meridian to talk to the staff at Tomorrow's Hope about Brandon.  When we got to the office we were shocked how happy Brandon was so we took some pictures.  I couldn't decide which one was my favorite so I shared them all.  They said he is doing really well and has even lost about 12 pounds to 135.  They were worried that he was headed for diabetes so they put him on a low carb diet.  After we were done with his meeting, we followed Julia to to his future new home.  It is nice but not as homie as where he is now.  I hope he adjusts okay.

I sure love this boy...if he was like this everyday we could bring him home with us permanently.  We took Brandon and Brady to get some food at Chick-fil-A and then Scott and I got some food at Firehouse Subs.

We then went to Krispy Kremes.  It was a fun day with the boys.
After we dropped Brandon off at his home we then went to Best Buy and Costco.  We sold our 2005 Acura to Wade Johnson so Scott decided we needed/wanted an upgraded TV.  We decided to order it through Walmart so we didn't have to pay shipping or sales tax.  He has done tons of research and decided on another Sony Master's Series, 65 inch.  It cost $1798.00.  I hope we like it.  I also gave in and let Scott put our oldest TV in our bedroom mounted on the wall.  It will just have an AppleTV hooked up to it, but we can still watched Netflix and Youtube on it plus listen to music.

Valentine's Day & More...

Mom and Dad gave us the pretty flowers and money to go out to eat.  This was Brady's Valentine's and Scott's is below.  We gave Cole and Kacie gift cards to Olive Garden and Red Robin.
I had it all planned for Brady to bring over some friends for a little Valentine's Day party but some of them couldn't come last minute so we decided to postpone it.  Scott and I then went to a C of I basketball game with Jason and Tawnie.  We met them there.  It was fun!  They have a great team this year and are undefeated so far!

Saturday morning when I stepped outside I saw all these snow geese in the field just behind our house so I told Scott.  Two to three hours later he came back wanting me to take his picture. haha!  He said he only shot three times and got twelve.  He was pretty happy!  We then went to watch Lindsay and Joshua play in their basketball games in Ontario.

Cole and Kacie spent the weekend in McCall with some of Cole's family snowmobiling.  They are so cute!  Sunday they came by our house and we had some roast and mashed potatoes.  It was fun getting to see them for a little bit.

February 8th & 9th...

Saturday we went to Deseret Book and Scott got another white shirt and I got a couple of study companions to the Book of Mormon.  We then took Brady to eat at the Cheesecake Factory for the first time.  He really liked it.  We had to get some cheesecake of course.  Scott and I split a white chocolate raspberry one and Brady got an Oreo one.  We all loved it.  When we got back home Brady and I watched Toy Story 4 on Disney+ while Scott finished writing his talk for church.  It was a fun Day.
KnR Photography was at Lindsay's last basketball game and got some awesome shots of her in action.  She is a great little player.

Sunday the 9th we went to Church and Scott did a great job on his talk about Truths. He also sang with the impromptu choir. Brady helped break the bread for the Sacrament. He does a good job. I'm hoping he will feel comfortable blessing the sacrament soon. After church Scott and I fixed a yummy spaghetti dinner at Mom and Dad's house. We are going to start eating together once a month. Brady was suppose to go to a youth fireside that night but came down with a fever. I knew something must have been up for him to take a nap. He never takes naps.

New Wall Decor...

I asked Bobbi Goodfellow to make the sign for me and I ordered the canvases.  I thought it all came together really nice.  I sure love all these people!

National Girls and Women in Sports Day...

February the 5th I posted all these pictures of me playing sports in high school.  I said it's National Girls and Women in Sports Day.  I have always loved playing and watching sports.  Softball was one of my favorites but they didn't have it in high school then.  I would like to think that I helped get it started but unfortunately it wasn't until after I graduated.  Ronald Reagan declared the first #ngwsd back in 1987.  I love watching the Oregon's women's basketball team.  This is their year.  They will be in the final four and win it all!

It was fun to see the reaction from this post.

Tyson's Baptism & Superbowl 54...

Cole and Kacie brought Taylor home for the weekend and for Tyson's baptism.  They got in late Friday night.  Saturday Scott and Cole went shooting and had a blast.  Then we had to run to Nampa to pick up our Honda that had some warranty work done.  We all went together and then went to Ontario for Tyson's baptism.  Ryan gave the baptism talk and also baptized Tyson.   Lindsay did a spotlight on Tyson and Gerald gave the Holy Ghost talk.  Taylor did a beautiful piano solo.  She also led the music while I played the piano for the opening and closing songs.   Wanda and Scott gave the prayers and Ron confirmed him.  It was a special night, Tyson is so cute! After the baptism the five of us went out to dinner at the Mandarin in Payette.  It was good and so fun to spend time together.

I love that Brady and Kacie have the same look on their face. haha!
Sunday after church we attempted to watch a "Don't Miss This" video.  I have to attempt it was a little difficult to concentrate with these three.  I'm pretty safe to say they don't like it as much as I do. haha!
Later in the day we went to Ron and Stacie's for a Superbowl party.  Lindsay decorated and did a fantastic job painting on the table cloths.  It was a fun day with loads of yummy food.  It was a great game with the Kansas City Chiefs beating the San Francisco 49ers 31 to 20.  Most of us were pretty happy about that.  It has been 50 years since the Chiefs have won so that was cool!

Impossible getting a decent picture with these two, haha!

All the cute teenagers...looks like Ben has a girlfriend.

It was so fun having these two all to ourselves for the weekend.  They stayed long enough to eat and then headed back to Rexburg with Taylor.  Kacie said she watched the game on her phone.  They got into some bad roads around Burley.  Cole stopped to help a high school girl that was scared to death to drive on the snowy roads so Cole said she could follow them.  He is so good to stop and offer help to people on the side of the road.  We were all relieved when they finally made it safe.

More January Events...

Mckinley and Sara spent the weekend with Cole and Kacie over MLKJ weekend.  Kacie said they had a lot of fun and even got pedicures one day.

Kacie got her hair done on January 25th.  It turned out really cute.  That same day Scott, Brady and I went out to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse with Ron and Stacie's family and Scott's parents.  After Scott and I went to a College of Idaho Basketball game with Jason and Tawnie.  It was a fun day.

January 30th Cole and Kacie went snowboarding again with his buddy Will.  Kacie is really starting to enjoy it which is so fun for them to have something they like to do together.
All of Vaughn and Barbara's family went to Hawaii to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.  Everyone was there except Riley, Reagan, Riker, Spencer and Thayne,  Looks like they had a great time.
On January 26th after we got home from Church Kacie texted me and said she heard that Kobe Bryant was killed along with his 13 year old daughter Gianna and seven others in a helicopter crash.  We were all shocked!  Brandon was one of his biggest fans.  I remember on Brandon's 9th birthday in 2003 I made him a Laker's cake after they won three championships in a row.  His last basketball game was April 13, 2016 so he wasn't retired very long before this happened.  So sad!
