Celebration for Aunt Barbara...

Thursday the 21st we went over to celebrate with everyone for Aunt Barbara's 70th birthday in heaven.  Mom had seven lanterns that we let off.  The kids were fun to watch.

We even got one caught in the tree.  Surprisingly Tommy was able to get it down and still managed to get it to go up again.  We were shocked it still went with the big hole that got burned into it.

We all had fun getting our snuggles in with little miss Macy.

January Birthdays...

We went over to Ron and Stacie's to celebrate Wanda, Ryan and Tyson's birthdays.  We had pizza and salad and had a good time.  We helped Lindsay finally finish her puzzle that she started over the summer.

We gave Wanda a sweater and some chocolate.  We gave Tyson the Super Mario hat and some candy.  And we gave Ryan a long sleeve shirt.

We couldn't even walk into our closet without stepping on coats, bags, and shoes...it was horrible.

I took all the books out.  I gave some away and put the rest in Kacie's closet.  I then put all my boots on the top shelf.  I spent a lot of time going through boxes of papers.  I put some stuff in the kids' scrapbooks, my file cabinet, and the garbage.  There are now only a couple pairs of shoes on the floor but nothing else.  All the bags that were on the floor are now on the shelf above Scott's clothes.  I bought four boxes of new hangers from Costco which ended up being 200 total and I could still use one more box.  I really like how we now have all matching hangers and they are really nice with velvet on them so the clothes don't slip off.

Oh and I kinda color coordinated our shirts and dresses...haha!

We can now walk in our closet, it's so nice.

Joshua & Zeineb...

Joshua was ordained to a Deacon today.  

It was pretty cool that Brady was able to be part of the circle too... his first time!

Later that evening we were able to go to Zeineb's 2nd birthday party.  Tara did such a cute job with all the decorations and all the woodland food to represent Totoro.

I was happy everyone loved her cake.  I let Becky decide if she wanted to pay me for it.  I have a hard time asking people for money, but she sent me $25.00 through Venmo which was really nice.

Goose Hunting & Cake...

Becky hired me to make a birthday cake for her daughter's 2nd birthday.  She loves Totoro and I had never even heard of this critter before.  I sure hope she likes her cake!

 

New Year's Day...

Because Ron and Stacie's family all had Covid we were not able to have our Talbot Christmas party until New Year's.  It was fun to be all together.  We had yummy pork tacos and I made some sugar cookie bars and Stacie brought brownies.  We had our traditional white elephant game with nice $25-30 dollar gifts.  We missed Gerald and Wanda since they opted to stay away from group gatherings because of the risk of Covid.  We also missed having Cole and Kacie with us!

Ben leaves on January 27th to serve a mission in Wichita, Kansas.

We are excited for him.

Kris was so nice to bring Brady a repel from Dutch Bros...looks like she got one for Rachel too!
