I don't know what I would do without these ladies...they are so wonderful and dependable! We divided out all the assignments and I didn't have to worry at all that it would get done. I thought the decorations came together very nice!
We played a fun game where each team was given a gospel topic and they had ten seconds to come up with a primary song that shares that message. Rachel did an awesome job with that. Then I spoke a little on rising to your call then we had each ward share how they are doing it...that turned out great! Then Anna spoke on some of the questions some of the wards had when we met with them. For our closing song we had a special musical number sung by Hailey Long and Taylor Talbot accompanied by Mary Woodruff. They did an awesome job. Our prayers were offered by Lamar Roche (high councilman) and President Ron Jacobs. We had the food catered by Ogawa's and it was wonderful. We had mandarin chicken, rice, noodles, Chinese chicken salad and California Sushi rolls. For dessert Anna and I made mini cheesecakes. Her's were chocolate and mine were cheesecakes with blueberry and cherry topping. We couldn't believe how less stressful it was having the food catered. I just hope all those who attended joined the evening and thought it worth their time to come.
