Idaho Youth Barbershop Festival...

I got the privilege of being a chaperone for Brady's choir trip to Boise to sing with other schools in the Idaho Youth Barbershop Festival at BSU.   I was surprised how fun it was.  I got to listen to Brady sing with all the other boys which was way cool.  They spent all day practicing together their two songs Ring of Fire and Drive Me Crazy.  The girls sang This is Me and Royale.  They then practiced Bohemian Rhapsody all together.  That was such a hard song I was amazed how well the kids sounded.  I absolutely loved hearing all the boys singing together.  They brought in a couple of really cool conductors.  One was from California and he was the guy that made cappella music popular and all the Pitch Perfect movies were started by his story.  It was pretty cool listening to his stories to the kids.  The other conductor originally was from the Boise area and then moved to Tennessee.   He was really good with the kids too.
They had a photographer there taking all kinds of pictures.  I couldn't believe the ones he took of me...too funny!

Feeling a little bit stocked...haha!

I thought these were cute of Brady standing with the choir.

I got to be good friends with a mom from Meridian High.  Her boy is the one with the black and red ball cap behind Brady.  Her name is Janeil Pluim and she had a daughter get married this summer too in the Meridian temple.  We had a lot of good chats.  They fed us lunch and dinner and then we were able to watch them all perform.  They had a famous barbershop quartet sing from Seattle called Momma's Boys.  They were amazing!  The Boise Chordsmen sang some really fun songs too.  We loved the one they sang last called, "There is no Z in Boise"  It was super cute!

Brady's group from Nyssa...I'm so glad he loves to sing!  He is even taking voice lessons from Allison Swenson-Mitchell once a week on Tuesdays and loving it.  He is going to join the TVCC choir on October 1st which should be fun too!

I was so proud of Brady doing this...
You can kind of see Brady on the right side with all the tenors...
