State Track...

On May 28th after working half a day, we left to Eugene for State Track.  We had several stops along the way.  At one rest stop, there were hundreds of ground squirrels.  Everyone had fun feeding them.  We had dinner in Bend at Chick-fil-A.  We made a quick stop for a few pictures plus two other stops for snacks and gas.

We rented an Airbnb for $1175.84 and split with Stacie and Steve.  I was mislead a little by how many beds there were.  The website said two queens and 6 single beds but there were only four single beds so we were short one.  Stacie said she could stay with Ron so Brady could have one of the bunk beds.  When we arrived this care package was there for us with a few snacks and some extra toiletries if we needed them.  Other then being short a bed it was a really nice place and it was in a beautiful neighborhood.  One morning Steve, Scott and I went for a walk and we were able to see some beautiful homes and flowers.  I didn't get any pictures of the home but I stole these below from the website.  We would definitely stay there again.

Thursday morning Scott and Steve found a taco truck with some yummy breakfast burritos.  We went to Hayward Field around 1:00 to watch Lindsay do the triple jump and her prelims.  She made first place in the triple jump at 36 feet 6 1/14 inches and got first in all her prelim races.

She broke the 100 meter hurdle meet record with a time of 14.79 seconds.   After the meet and driving around for awhile trying to decide where to eat we finally decided to go to Hey Neighborhood Pizza.  It was really yummy.  We made a good choice.

Friday we had a lazy day and didn't need to be back until around 4:00. As we were getting to Hayward Field I went to get my phone to pull up our tickets and realized I had left it back at the car but I didn't know if it was in the car or laying on the ground somewhere.  Which normally takes about 18 minutes to go back to the car I made it in ten and luckily it was inside the car.  I was happy to see Stacie parking her car so she walked back with me.  That was pretty frustrating but I'm glad I was able to get my phone back.

Lindsay had an incredible meet.  She got first in all her races and even got another meet record in the 300 meter hurdles.
100 meter hurdle final time.
First in the 200 meters.

First in the 300 meter hurdles.

She even scored all the points for the girl's Harper team and got third plus was the 1A girl athlete of the meet.  We are so proud of you Lindsay!!

We didn't get back to the house until around midnight.  We had to check out by 11:00 the next day.  We went home through Portland.  It was a great trip.  We were so glad we were able to support Lindsay.  Not bad for a sophomore.
