We had planned to take a road trip to San Francisco this summer but Scott and I got so overwhelmed with where we were going to stay that he suggested that we go back to Disneyland instead. We were a little worried what Brady would say about out idea, but when we told him we were shocked by how excited he was. We knew Kacie would like the idea so we took one last trip to Disneyland just the four of us before Kacie gets married.
It was nice having another driver with us this time.
Disneyland day one!
Our first ride...
We rode the Nemo Submarine ride for the first time, it was cute.
Have to do I'ts A Small World!
We saw the Tiki-Birds for the first time too then we had to get some Dole-Whip...so yummy!
This was perfect for Kacie and we loved her Minnie Wedding Veil Ears!
She wore them every day we were there!
So cute!
For lunch our first day Kacie and I ate a Taco Salad which was really good and Scott and Brady got fried chicken at the Poultry Palace. Brady loves his chicken!
Scott wanted me to get a picture of all the old car stereos...haha!
We love Cars Land...
We thought we would be disappointed that they changed the Tower of Terror to Guardians of the Galaxy but we absolutely loved the changes. It was so fun, we did it twice! I thought Brady was going to dig his fingers into my leg the first time though..haha! We paid ten dollars more per ticket per day to get Disney Max Pass on our phones. With it we were able to get two fast passes at a time which helped not having to walk everywhere to get a fast pass. We were also able to get all our photos on our phone from the rides and from the photographers at the park which was so nice!
We loved the changes they made to the Incredicoaster too!
So fun I think we did it everyday we were there.
This was fun to see us all on Snapchat with our Disney Ears On!
The first night we watched the World of Color! We always love it but hate standing in line to watch it! We were constantly seeing Brady checking out the maps at the park and we even found him a cool book with all the various maps they have had since they opened Disneyland back in 1955. He was pretty excited about his new book. We love having only a five minute wait on rides late at night. We walked right on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and Indiana Jones.
Disneyland Day Two!
We got a later start so we took the shuttle instead of walking. We really liked the hotel we stayed at this time at Country Inn & Suites and it was only about a mile away from the park. They had a really nice breakfast buffet.
I would have liked to get some pictures with characters but nobody in the family wanted to this time. We did get some cute ones in front of the castle. After we got our pictures taken a Disney worker stopped us and gave us some impromptu jokes which was fun!
Our first ride of the day was Thunder Mountain Railroad.
It was pretty fun that we were there when they were celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion. There were lots of people dressed for the occasion and two nights when we were leaving at midnight they had 999 people in line waiting to go in for the Haunted Mansion special event from midnight to 4:00 am I guess the tickets were $300.00 It was would be cool to see it but I personally don't think it would be worth the money it cost. I guess they had a lot of limited addition stuff and special performances and live characters on the ride.
Scott and Brady ate lunch at the Golden Nugget while Kacie and I got some more pictures in front of the castle. They also watched a show while they ate. Kacie and I ate later at Adventure Land. It was so good. I had a vegetable skewer and Kacie had Teriyaki chicken with rice. While we ate Scott went and got some more Dole-whip for Brady and he tried the loaded mango dole whip with chamoy sauce. It was really different but good too!
This was our first time riding the StoryLand ride...It was cute!
Nature's quilt art...
It was fun seeing all the miniature fairy-tale stories...
They said they were real miniature trees.
We also rode the Snow White and Pinocchio rides for the first time.
Kacie got the front seat on Splash Mountain and got soaked!
So fun!
I guess I did talk my family into one character picture, only because the line was short. haha! We thought we were getting a picture with Mater but then they switched right before we were next but it was cool to see Mater and Lightning McQueen talking to each other and I got a fun video of them.
Brady loved his Sorcerer Mickey shake which was a chocolate Oreo. Kacie got a Sandianada (watermelon) smoothie. They were both delicious!
Kacie and Scott were pretty miserable for awhile as they were drying out from Splash Mountain.
So many fun treats!
We had to ride Radiator Springs again because the first time Kacie got hit with stomach cramps so she wasn't able to enjoy it. It is always so much fun! So funny how you can't see Kacie and my face because of all of our hair!
We watched the fireworks from main street the second night and it was so cool to see Nemo and Tickerbell flying through the sky and all the fun video displayed on the castle. During the frozen part it started snowing which was super fun! Disney never disappoints!
Disneyland Day Three!
We finally made it to Goofy's Sky-School for Brady and rode it first then we spent some time on Pixar Pier!
While we were waiting in line to go on the Mickey Ferris Wheel I had a fun visit a cute mom and daughter from Australia. They said they come every year!
We got to do the Guardians of the Galaxy ride again and we did Toy Story Mania a couple of times the third day too! First time I played with Brady and the second time with Scott.
The Egyptian theater had a really fun play of Frozen. We watched it twice it was so cute, plus we liked having a break from the heat.
We had a really nice dinner at the French Market after we rode the train to New Orleans Square. I had this yummy salad which was a cross between a green and potato salad. It sounds weird but was super yummy! Brady had more fried chicken. Scott had a poorboy sandwich and Kacie had a barbecue pulled pork sandwich. We also got the Haunted Mansion Wedding cake with blood specks. It was yummy too! Kacie and I also got a mint jubilee which was a lemonade with mint...sooo good!
It is hard to believe we are still going on rides we have never been on...
The last night we made it to Star Wars Land...I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more if we were with a die hard fan that could explain everything to us...haha! We loved watching the fireworks by the blue mountains. It was like we were right under them. We couldn't hear the music like on main street but they were so big and loud and gave a different viewing experience.
I think this is the Millennium Falcon...
We opted out of going on this ride because of the wait time and fearing we would get sick on this simulation ride and we wouldn't know what we were doing in the flight seat.
Last picture in the park before saying goodbye!
We had a good visit and I don't think we ever waited more than 35 minutes for a ride which was nice. Scott read someone that they have increased the ticket and food/souvenir prices to help keep the local numbers down. So their numbers are down but their profits are up and they are hoping to have a better experience for those of us that have to travel. On Saturday we traveled to Winnemucca and stayed the night. We didn't get there until almost midnight but it made for a shorter trip on Sunday. On our travels we got to see six cop cars stopping a minivan and some really gross Mormon Crickets.
So grateful for Scott helping us make the trip happen before Kacie get married!
