I was in total shock when I woke up Wednesday morning the 9th and saw a text from mom that Trevor had passed away from a farming accident the night before around 10:30 pm. She had tried calling around midnight but I was asleep and didn't hear my phone. Trevor was disking onion skins and saw the onion harvester had stopped so he went over to help. He was cleaning out the back and no one knew he was back there and Spencer turned it on and Trevor's chest was crushed by the machine and he wasn't able to breathe. I was so heartbroken... it was a rough Wednesday. I can't even imagine how hard this is going to be for all of Trevor's family.
Mom shared these pictures with us...
This picture was barely taken on October 3rd when we celebrated Grandma Joan's 89th birthday. So sad that this is the reality now. My heart aches for Krista, Tevan, Nicole, Tanner and Erik.
Thursday the 10th a bunch of us went to Rod and Launa's house to have pizza for lunch and show our support to the family. I got there around noon and didn't leave until around 5:30. We visited, helped put all the food away, cleaned a little and gathered some squash from one of their fields. I was surprised by how much being there brought comfort to me. We were meant to bring them comfort and in return I felt it. I didn't want to leave my two amazing aunts Shelley and Launa.
Saturday Mom, Teniele and I went back to Launa's house to help do some more cleaning. We washed windows and I painted her backdoor that Launa had started painting the day Trevor died. When we were done they let us pick some pumpkins from their field which was so nice.
Sunday a bunch of cousins went back over to Rod and Launa's in the evening to visit. Toni said it helps when people are around. We were going through pictures and found these old newspaper articles of Grandma Evelyn so I took a couple of pictures. It was nice to be with so many cousins.
The funeral was Monday the 14th same day as Rod's birthday. The viewing started at 9:30 and we got there around 10:00. We stayed in line for about 20 minutes and then realized we were never going to get into the viewing so we went to the chapel to get a seat. We were shocked they were able to get all the family in. The funeral was a beautiful tribute to an amazing man. Launa said they were sad that Elder John McCune was unable to come and speak but she said it was meant to be that Elder Kenneth Firmage was there. His brother was in an accident and killed at the age of 42 and left a wife and young kids too. He reached out to the youngest which was five at the time and now serving on a mission. He wrote a letter to Trevor's family and it was so powerful. Launa went on to say that Tevon was so fidgety during the service, but as soon as Elder Firmage moved the flowers and spoke directly to the kids Tevon never moved and listened to every word. He said that his sister-in-law also wrote a letter to Krista but it was too sacred to read. It was very touching.
The Ontario Stake President Eric Dahle also spoke and touched on the 'Why' He said he didn't know the answer but he does know that Heavenly Father is aware of us. He shared how difficult it is as the Stake President when choosing a bishop. He said a few weeks ago it came to him who the next Bishop would be in their ward. He thought to himself that's nice but I don't need that information quite yet so I will tuck that away until I need it because Trevor still had a year or two left as the bishop. Now he knew why that prompting had come to him.
I was amazed how Andrea and Toni were able to talk about their brother. They did such a good job, it was so fun to hear about all their adventures. Everyone did so good, the speakers and the music...it was perfect.

Oh how my heart aches for these five...
It was hard to see but I'm thinking Trevor's kids put the tractors on his casket.
Weston, Ashley, Brandon and Abigal...
Launa, Dana, Mom and Grandma Joan
Trisha, Jennilyn, Hayley & Pam...
Uncles Brent & Travis...
Juliene, Grandma & Caster...(Randy's future mother-in-law)
This was from the Brent Hartley family...so cute!
I sure love these cousins of mine! It was wonderful so many of the family were able to come...We do have a hug family and I love every single one of them. I think was have 99 first cousins and it just grows from there.
I can't remember if it was Andrea or Toni who talked about our first live nativity with Trevor as the baby Jesus. He was born December 1, 1976 so I was six and played the part of Mary. Also pictured is Cindy, Juliene, Becky, Rosie and Todd who is also greatly missed.
Theodore Trevor Frahm, age 42, of Ontario, Oregon, was killed in a tragic accident on October 8th, 2019 on the farm that he loved. Trevor was born in Caldwell, Idaho on December 1st, 1976 to Theodore Rodrick Frahm and Launa Gay Schulthies Frahm. The oldest of five children, he was raised on a three generation farm south of Ontario, Oregon. Trevor graduated from Ontario High School in 1995 and shortly after served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mendoza, Argentina. He taught and loved the people of Argentina, serving with honor in the Spanish language. After his mission, Trover graduated from Ricks College with an Associates degree in Agricultural Business and then from Utah State University with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Marketing.
In 2002, he met his future wife Krista Hytrek. They were married November 7th 2003 in the Boise, Idaho temple. They were blessed with four beautiful children Theodore Tevan Frahm, in 2oo5, followed by Nicole (2008), Leo Tanner (2010) and Erik Mel (2014). His family brought light and joy into his life.
Trevor fulfilled his dream of working alongside his father and brothers on Frahm Family Farms. In 2003, he began an onion packaging business, Frahm Fresh Produce. In 2017, he along with his family, purchased the A&W restaurant in Nyssa, Oregon.
Trevor enjoyed the outdoors, being with family and friends, and farming. He had a quick wit and an infectious smile. He loved skiing with his kids in the winter and taking his boat to Owyhee in the summer, making sure everyone had a great time. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served his fellow man as a High Councilman to the local Spanish Branch, and most recently, Bishop of the Ontario, Oregon 2nd Ward. Trevor was the first to lend a helping hand; whether it be a priesthood blessing, help with a project, or plowing out his entire neighborhood during a snowstorm. He was the rock of his immediate, work and church families. Losing Trevor was devastating, but all who love him are comforted by the fact that families are forever, something that Trevor believed with his whole heart. Those who mourn him have been comforted by the family, friends, and farming community who have poured out their hearts in love and service in honor of this great man. He will be missed but his influence will endure, especially in the lives of his four children who adore their Dad.
Trevor was preceded in death by his grandparents (Theodore and Bonnie Frahm, Ray and Evelyn Bair Schulthies). He is survived by his wife Krista, children Tevan, Nicole, Tanner and Erik, his parents Rod and Launa Frahm, siblings Andrea Pace (Eli), Spencer (Genniel), Toni, and Ken (Sharon), his grandmother Joan Fuhrman Schulthies, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Ontario LDS Stake Center at 1705 NW 4th Ave, Ontario, Oregon, October 14th, 2019, at 11:00 am with a family visitation at the same location at 9:30 am that morning. Interment to follow at the Evergreen cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lienkaemper Funeral Home.
