Dad & Joshua's Birthday...

We celebrated Joshua & Dad's birthdays early on July 22nd since we are going out of town.  We had a fun slip in slide party for the kids with lots of pizza plus cake and ice cream.  The Stoneman's came and also Stacie and Tyson.  James and Tyson play really well together.

It was fun watching them try to surf down the hill.  Tyson was pretty good at it!  He is a natural at about everything he tries.

Can't believe Josh is eleven years old!
I made dad a German Chocolate cake.  It was pretty yummy! We got dad a work shirt and Joshua a transformer.  It was a good party!

Neowise Comet

We had so much fun watching the Neowise Comet every night.  It made its closest approach to the sun on July 3rd but was only visible in the sky before dawn.  But then as it got higher in the evening sky we could see it and enjoy it.  They say that it won't return to our skies for another 6,800-7000 years.  It was first discovered on March 27, 2020.  The fact that we can see it is really what makes it unique.  It's quite rare for a comet to be bright enough that we can see it with a naked eye or even with just binoculars. The Neowise is about 3 miles in diameter and traveling about 40 miles per second (144,00 mph).  I stole these awesome pictures that dad's cousin Royce Bair posted on his Instagram.

Gerald Talbot's 80th Birthday...

I put together a slideshow for Gerald's 80th birthday.  It was fun going through all the old pictures and I was happy how it turned out.  Ron said it was my best one so far!(: I did however discover a duplicate picture as we were watching...oops!  I had to post some of my favorite pictures.  The family one we hired someone years ago to edit and put a pretty background behind instead of the church.  This was taken at Grandpa Brown's funeral. (Wanda's stepdad)

Too cute!!!

I was pretty happy with how his cake turned out too!

We were bummed none of Nanette's family were able to make it but them sent him this blanket, plus the hat & Trump pen pictured below.  I made the print.  Hope he enjoyed his birthday.  It's always fun being with family and we sure appreciate this wonderful man.  Hope he is with us many, many more years to come.

Sunsets, Visits & Fish...

We have had some amazing sunsets.  This one was taken one evening coming home from Ontario driving down 18th street on July 3rd.
These were taken at our home on July 12th
I love how beautiful are lilies are...

July 15th while Brady was at mutual Scott and I went to his parents house to visits and get pictures for Gerald's slideshow I'm doing for his 80th birthday.  Scott wasn't done looking at old yearbooks with his dad so I picked up Brady and brought him back to the house.  The YM had hot dogs and s'mores at the Carltons.  This was Brady waiting long enough and telling his dad it was time to go.  haha!

July 11th Ron & Stacie's family went sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River.  They caught some monsters.

Living the good life!

We had fun up at the Owyhee lake with Ron & Stacie's family plus Dave & Nate Marker and Wade & Lindsay Johnson's family.  Scott even fried us some yummy steak while we were up there.
Brady went with Ron & Stacie's family to Farewell Bend to watch some fireworks but sadly they got cancelled due to too much wind.  Brady was highly disappointed.

Sunday Cole and Kacie came by on their way home to visit and have lunch with us.  Scott and Cole had fun shooting their bows for a little bit.  It was a good holiday weekend.

Mike Bower & Carriesa's Wedding...

I put this basket together for Carriesa's Bridal shower from Kacie and I.  Hope they liked it!

It was fun getting to spend some time with these two today.
We never see them long enough!(:
Beautiful cake by Amanda Andrew, Wheelers neighbor and good friend.
So happy for this beautiful couple...

The reception was held at the Wheeler residence.  It was so beautiful and a very enjoyable evening.
