Mini Honeymoon...

Scott and I had a one-night little getaway in Meridian.  First, we went to Brick 29 and had a yummy meal before staying the night at the Hyatt Place.  We watched some Netflix and Facetimed Kacie and little Wade for a little while.   It was a nice relaxing evening.

We took this yummy cheesecake with us to go.  It was so delicious.

 

Wade is One Month Old...

Our little Wade is a month old.  He is such a cutie and growing and developing just fine,

On his one-month checkup on January 9th, he weighed nine pounds exactly and was 20.5 inches long.

 

Finally Had Christmas With Brandon...

On January 10th we were able to bring Brandon home and celebrate Christmas with him.  He was in a pretty good mood which was nice.  I sure love him.  We gave him some clothes, chocolate and of course Coke Zero.  Mom and Dad gave him a nice electric toothbrush with a waterpik.    

We took him home after church on the 12th.

 

Brady's Mission Interview...

Brady got this really cool ornament from his mission leaders.

On Tuesday, January 7th, I drove Brady over to have a mission interview.  I was able to meet President Maxwell and his wife.  They are super nice.  Brady met with one of his counselors.  He gave him some of our family history.  As we were leaving the counselor told me I'm a super mom because of all that we have been through. 

 

Rosie and Mckinley Visit..

On January 3rd Rosie and Mckinley came for the weekend so they could meet little Wade.  Saturday we had fun taking pictures of Wade and we had a nice lunch at the Hickory.  We had fun playing games and had some pizza delivered.  We had a great time together catching up.

Sunday morning I packed up, changed the sheets on my bed, and cleaned the bathroom.  This was the last picture I took with Wade before getting ready to leave.  I was a little worried about staying awake on my drive home but it was nice that Rosie took the night shift so I could get some sleep.  I also had ice chips that helped keep me awake.  It was so hard leaving them.  I think I cried half or more on my way home.

Ryan and Lora are Engaged...

On January 3rd, I texted Ryan to ask him a question  He sent me the picture below, and told me he had just gotten engaged.  We are so excited for him and Lora Olsen.  They are getting married on June 21, 2025.

1st Bath & Pictures With Grandma...

I stayed an extra week to help when Wade was circumcised on December 30th.  It seemed like we waited forever in the waiting room then all of a sudden we heard him screaming.  They took us back in and the doctor said it all went well and that he was just mad because he was so hungry.   He showed us how to smother his diapers with Vaseline.  I think we went a little overboard because he kept blowing out his diapers.  We were able to give Wade his first official bath on January 2nd.  He wasn't too happy about it but wrapping him in a towel helped.

On January 3rd I got some cute pictures with him wearing the cute onesie that Mom sent him.

I think he might have filled his pants in this picture! haha!
