Thursday night we had our family Christmas party at the Stake Center. We were pretty low on numbers. They had to recruit some big kids for the nativity. I played the piano to Silent Night while everyone sang after the Christmas story.

Taylor, Spirit Week & Goodie Plates...
We got a wonderful email from Taylor on December 12th. She said her alarm goes off at 6am every morning and her service dog Fargo is there every time waiting for her. They start their day by listening to a hymn, saying a prayer, and doing daily scripture study before heading to the track.
Pretty cool that she was able to meet Brad Wilcox who visited their regional YSA ward.
I love reading and learning from her emails.
Harper had a fun Christmas Spirit Week at school. Monday was flannel fever.
Tuesday was dress like Santa and Wednesday was ugly sweater day. Brady didn't have a sweater but he wore his T-shirt that looks like a sweater that says, "Merry Christmas you filthy animal!" Thursday was Polar Express pajama day and the only day I got a picture of him. He was pretty happy he won the best-dressed senior for the week and got an extra large candy bar. He did look pretty cute every day.
Tuesday I was able to stay home and I did a bunch of baking. I made sugar cookie bars, pretzel crack (like soda cracker toffee), gingersnaps, and chocolate-covered Ritz with peanut butter between the two crackers. Thursday the three of us delivered goodie plates to all our ministering families and a few friends. Zac & Karli, Bishop & Lori, Jeff, Jason, The Walkers, Logan & Cassie Skeen, Browns, Bunns, and Nick & Kim Hartley.

Little of This and That...
On December 9th I put up Brady's senior picture. I can't believe my wall is finally complete.
Overnight we got two-plus inches of snow.
With the blue sky and the sun shining it looked so pretty I had to take a picture.
Brady went with everyone to drive around looking at Christmas lights.
I'm so glad he is having fun in Utah.
They went to help Rosie after having surgery to remove some of her varicose veins.

Sunday the 11th Scott and I went to help take some pictures of his parents for their Christmas card.

Anniversary Trip...
On Friday the 9th Scott and I were able to take a little mini honeymoon. It has been a couple of years since we celebrated our Anniversary so we got a night at the Anniversary Inn. We got some dinner at the Longhorn Steakhouse. It was both of our first times there and we liked it. Scott got steak and shrimp and I got a chopped steak with a loaded baked potato. We also had a yummy side salad and spinach dip with pita chips for an appetizer. It was really good.

We had the Capital room this time. It was so fun to have a fireplace.
We had such a nice relaxing evening. Saturday we had their breakfast and then did some shopping before getting lunch at Japlepenios. Then we went to the movies in Caldwell and saw Devotion. It was really good and about the first black navy pilot during the Korean war. It was a fun weekend just the two of us.

Perfect Attendance & Ward Party...
On December 6th Brady got a perfect attendance award with a Dutch Bro gift card.
On December 7th Brady went with my Mom and Dad to Utah. Scott and I went to the ward Christmas party. It was a night in Bethlehem. We brought scarves to wear but didn't end up wearing them. I guess we were the party poopers. We had tokens to take to each market to buy our food which was tri-tip from the meat market, bread and cheese, fruit, and sweet bread from the other markets. There was also a children's market where the kids could buy toys instead of having Santa. You had to reach down in a well to get your bottle of water. Everyone was supposed to bring a blanket to sit on to eat. I had to play the piano for the primary to sing and then the YM & YW also sang.
