Thanksgiving in Utah

We had a great time in Utah this year for Thanksgiving.  Our trip there was a little scary with the bad snowy roads.  Between Burley and Tremonton we saw six semis jack-knived...that was a little nerve racking, but we made it and it was so fun to see everyone.  The whole family was there except Brandon, Valeda and Melissa.

Having fun taking selfies...Haha!

I love seeing snap chat stories of these two (Miah & Kendall) that I don't get to see very often.

So grateful for this guy!!!
Friday we did a little shopping in Park City at their outlets and then that night we got to go on the North Pole Express which is a train ride that reenacts the story from Polar Express.  It was so much fun!!!

Serving cookies and hot cocoa! Yummmm!

Taking our tickets...
They had a fun sing-a-long and even Kacie sang a little solo to Let it Go from Frozen.

We were so surprised when Brady landed a kiss on Kacie when they brought out the mistletoe.
So cute!

At the end Santa came and gave everyone this nice bell that had North Pole Express printed on the ribbon.

Saturday night we all went to Temple Square to see the lights.  Brady had a little melt down because he wanted to see the fountain first but then he was okay.  After we saw the Nativity and Christus together we split up and we let Brady spend as much time as he wanted watching the fountain and then we ate at Crown Burger which we have never tried before but was really good.
Love this family of mine....So fun that we were all together!

Brady's Improvement Award

So proud of how hard Brady is working this year, I know it's not easy for him.  We were happy he got an improvment award today.  Both Grandmas were there to help cheer him on.

Visit with Brandon

Scott and I picked up Brandon and took him to Nanette's house for a little visit.  He was still pretty worked up but we had a good visit and we had fun snap chatting some of his cousins.  I know I'm a broken record but I sure miss our Brandon and the times we could actually talk to him.  This sure wasn't the life I saw for him.

Kacie's Wisdom Teeth

November 20th Kacie got all four wisdom teeth pulled.  While she was having it done I went to get her pain medications and antibiotics and believe it or not she was done before I got back.  She was quite comical after she woke up.  On our drive home Rosie called us and Kacie was cracking us up.  Even after we got home we got some good videos of her.  She was so chatty and would repeat everything we said.  One example of the funny things she did was when we were talking to Rosie she somehow got on the subject of wanting to go to New Year and see Wicked.  After we got home she was telling Scott that Rosie was wicked and I had to tell her no...she wants to see the play Wicked. Haha!  She was pretty miserable for a about 4-5 days and  missed two days of school.  Sure hope this helps her headaches.

Kacie's Headaches...

So Kacie has been struggling a long time now with horrible headaches.  I finally decided to get her into the Sinus Center to see if they could help so on November 2nd I took her to the one in Nampa. They scoped her nose, put her on Ceftin and Prednisone and some nasal rinses.  After four weeks of being on the antibiotic if they don't improve they will do a CTscan.  After a week she only had a couple of days with no headache so I took her to Dr. Dunbransky.  She order an MRI for November 11th to make sure she didn't have any tumors in her head.  Luckily she didn't but she was still having problems and was also complaining of her jaw and teeth hurting.  It then came to us that maybe it is her wisdom teeth bothering her.  She was scheduled to have them out December 18th but I called on November 16th and amazingly enough they were able to schedule her for November 20th to get all four out.  Praying that will be the solution.

She was a real tropper having this done.  The Tech asked her what kind of music to listen to and she said she didn't care so then he asked me and I said she liked pop, country and 80's music and he said Okay lets give her some 80's music.  She said she had never heard so much 80's music in all her life and said it was hard to not want to dance at times.  She layed there for about an hour.

Collective Soul Concert

Scott and I had a lot of fun at the Collective Soul concert in Boise.  It was held in a small venue call the Revolution Concert House.  They sounded amazing and about half way through we were able to get really close to the stage so that was cool!

The three on the right are the original band members...
Ed and Dean Roland and Will Turpin.
The only downer was it was on a Monday night which made it brutal for getting up for work the next day.  Haha!
