Kacie had both sets of grandparents there to support her along with her parents and of course Brady.

Random

Brady got this from his teacher yesterday in the mail.  We were both pretty surprised and happy.  I am so grateful that he has a teacher that has gone above and beyond to encourage Brady.  We love her, she made us both smile today! I love it when teachers go that little extra mile to support their students.

Today we went to church in the Owyhee ward to hear from Kimber Wagstaff and Dallin Widmer.  Kimber is going to Columbus Ohio and Dallin is going to Ukraine.  They did an awesome job.  They will be great missionaries.  My visiting teacher Jen Thomas surprised us with the adorable and delicious cookies today after church! They were a big hit with the family.
Mom sent me this cute picture of Brielle, Hanna and Sadie from her trip there this past week and a half.  She went to see their primary program and then went to Rosie's to see theirs.  She had a great time.

Brady's Award and Rock n Roll Day

I was so happy for Brady yesterday when he got the 'Soaring Higher Award'  He has worked really hard so far this year.  I hope he continues to have a good year.
It was so nice of Subway to include these free kid's meals for the kids that got awards.
Today the school had their Grandparents Day.  They always have a Rock n Roll party with lots of dancing.
Brady loves the limbo.

He does a good job with all the dance moves.

The crazy music teacher told all the kids to grab a hula hoop if they wanted one and of course all the kids did and guess who didn't.  Yep Brady, I don't know why teachers do things like that.  It took us a while to get Brady to calm back down and even another girl tried to share hers, but then it was too late. :(
It was so nice of Wanda to come even though her back was bothering her.
Grandma Sue was on a long trip to see her grand-kids in Las Vegas and Heber City.
Andrew was trying to cheer Brady up.
Well at least most of it was good.

Kacie's Spotlight

Today in Young Women's I was asked to do a spotlight on Kacie.  We put together this poster of pictures and then I went up before their class and I talked a little bit about her life and then we had her favorite treat -peanut butter bars.  It was fun. I hope she liked it!
Earlier in the week Stacie put together some track goals for Kacie.  She liked it so much she posted this on Instagram.  I thought it was cute!  How awesome if she can meet her goals.

Scott's Trip to Vegas!

These two at the airport awaiting their fun weekend in Vegas!
First night was spent at the Iron Maiden Concert.  Scott said it was really good and a lot of fun, but really loud.  He said, "I must be getting old!" Haha!

Here they are visiting the Hoover Dam.

He said they ate lots of good food and had a lot of fun hanging out together.
They love UFC!
So glad they had a good time, plus Scott actually won some of his vacation money back playing the slots.  That was a nice bonus.

Relief Society Retreat

I went with Maria and Lori up to McCall for the Nyssa 1st Ward Relief Society Retreat on Friday Sept. 13th.  We had a good time.  They made Cafe Rio Friday night which I loved and then we played some minute to win it games all together and then some of us played 5 Crowns.  We didn't really stay up too late.  We stayed at Hartley's cabin and I stayed in their bunk room and actually slept pretty good.
It was nice to get to know some of the sisters better.

Saturday we had a nice breakfast and a little devotion and then some of us went on a 3 mile hike to a little waterfall.  I loved it! It was different because you actually hike down and then climb out on your way back.
Kim, Tara and Sydney Hartley, Me, Lori Schulthies, Sarah Jensen, Maria Schulthies and Jordan Pratt.  Brenda Pett took the picture.

After our hike Maria, Lori and I went into McCall and walked around some of the shops and had some lunch.

We ate at this little place called the Bistro 45. It was really good. I had a roast beef panini which I loved. After we did a little more shopping then we had some yogurt at the Mountain Berry and that was really good too. It is a lot like Kiwi Loco.
