African Safari...

Here are just a few of the amazing animals Steve was able to hunt on his African safari.  He was there with his two boys for a couple of weeks.  I'm so glad they had such a great trip!

 

Rosie and Caleb Visit...

Rosie and Caleb came from July 16th through the 22nd.  On the 17th, I went over to play games, and Rosie and I got the crazy idea of organizing a couple of Mom's cupboards.  We got rid of a lot of dishes that they don't use anymore to make room for new ones.  On Saturday, we went on a fun bike ride, then we cleaned our Mom and Dad's utility room.  No one knew what to do with the onion sack in memory of Trevor Frahm, so I took a picture of it so we could always remember it.  It turned out so good.

On Sunday, we had an early birthday dinner for Dad and played more games.   On Tuesday, we went to the movies.  Dad, Mom, Scott, Brady, and I watched Young Washington, and the others watched Toy Story 5.  (We loved the movie.  In fact, it started a new favorite pastime for Brady and me: watching documentaries about our founding fathers.)  We then went to Logan and Emily's house to let the kids swim, and we had pizza and salads.

On July 15th our stake Relief Society presidency got to feed the Boise area missionaries at their zone conference.  We decorated the tables for the 4th of July and fed them fried or rotisserie chicken, potato salad, watermelon, chips, and rolls, plus cookies for dessert.  I heard one Elder say, "It feels like we are at a 4th of July picnic.  I was a little surprised by how excited they were about eating chicken.  haha!  Nancy and Brandy went to the church and decorated the tables while Liz and I picked up the chicken at Albertsons and Costco.  I love working with these sisters.  We have a great group.

 

Hattie Jo Talbot...

Miss Hattie Jo Talbot was born on July 20, 2026, a week early.  She weighed 8 lbs 4 oz.

She is perfect!  We are so happy for this cute little family!

 

Sad Day...

It was a sad day packing up and leaving Anaheim.  In our rush to check out in time, we left Wade's new toy.  I was really sad about that, but later Kacie was able to find one on eBay so he could still have one.  Our trip back to Las Vegas was extended by an hour when we got stopped on the freeway because of a truck that was on fire.  We came within a mile of getting past it before they stopped the traffic.  That was brutal.  After we got to Reid's house, we went to eat with Reid and Saddie at a Hawaiian restaurant, then we went to Nielsen's Frozen Custard for some dessert.  Scott and I took Brady down to the strip to see the Bellagio fountains.  I was surprised the garden wasn't more patriotic, given that it was the 250th anniversary of America.  It was still pretty.  We couldn't believe they charged us $30 to park.  They said it was because of a concert next door.  I sure hope that is the case.  It took us an hour to get out of the parking lot. Ugh!

The drive from Las Vegas to Rexburg seemed like an eternity.  We arrived at Utah Airguns just in time to pick up Scott's airgun before they closed, and then we got some dinner at Slim Chickens.  We were so glad to finally get out of the car.  The next day, Scott, Brady, and I drove home.  It was a great trip; I'm ready to go back! haha!

Disneyland Day Three...

I was happy we got some group pictures, and luckily we didn't have to wait in line long. 

We rode "It's A Small World" first again.  After that, I bought Wade a little Toy Story toy.  It was Woody riding on the race car.  We then went to watch Bluey, but we got bored halfway through it and left.  We then rode Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad.  I love that ride.

We then tried to get Wade to take a nap.  I stayed with Wade at the same spot at Star Wars Land while the rest went to ride Space Mountain.  He didn't sleep very long, though, so I had to go over to Tomorrowland and try to find them.  We then had lunch at Pizza Planet.  Scott and I hung out there after we ate while Kacie and Brady rode Space Mountain again.  We then headed over to do the Haunted Mansion.

We got some dessert at the Golden Horseshoe and fries for Wade.  

Then went on the Winnie the Pooh ride together.

I'm really glad we got more pictures together by the Castle.  Wade and Scott were not feeling well, so around 6:00, they went back to the hotel.  Kacie got Wade to sleep, and Scott stayed with him.  Brady and I rode Peter Pan, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and Alice in Wonderland.  While we were walking to the Storybook Canal Boats, we ran into Josh McCune and his son Hyrum.  That was pretty crazy!  After we got off the Nemo ride, Kacie met back up with us.  We went on Pirates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise.  We could see the fireworks from the ride, which was pretty cool.

My cute kids waiting to go on Indiana Jones.  We then got Scott and Brady a treat and did a little shopping.  I found a cute 70th anniversary sweatshirt and a frame.  We also got Brady a calendar. 

I was a little sad that Wade didn't get to enjoy his balloon more at the park, but he was pretty miserable cutting new teeth.

Scott loved his treat... It was a fun day; I just wish Scott and Brady felt better and could have stayed longer with us.
