New Fire Pit & Lights...

On July 21st & 22nd Scott and I worked on getting gravel and bricks to finish our firepit.  On our way home we stopped and got some a Mexican fruit cup to share.  It was very yummy and refreshing.

We then worked on setting these poles to hang our outdoor lights.  We set a larger PVC pipe about 18" in the ground (with an auger we bought to put on our drill) and then inserted the smaller one inside.  This way we can take them down whenever we need to.  When we were hanging them we didn't feel like they were going to be strong enough then Scott came up with the idea of supporting some of them to the house and the power pole.  We think that is going to work.
July 26th we finally got them all hung up and I'm so happy with how everything turned out.

July 29th Cole and Kacie had to come for a funeral for a close friend of the family and also an employee who drowned in the Snake River.  The picture below was taken after the funeral.  This was so sad, but we were happy we got to see them for a little bit in the evening.  We were able to have a fire in our new firepit which was fun.

July Birthdays...

On Sunday, July 16th we celebrated Gerald's 83th birthday.  He requested I make him a cake. :). I made him a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting.

However, this is what happened when we were singing Happy Birthday to him, lol!  I couldn't believe it, but the cake landed exactly upside down so I just flipped it back over and we scrapped the top layer of frosting off and still served it.  Happily, everyone still liked it.  Below is the cake after we salvaged it.  We all got a good laugh...
Sunday, July 23rd Scott made some Oklahoma burgers and I made a sour cream lemon pie for Dad's 76th birthday.  Scott has perfected these hamburgers and that is all people want, they are so good.  We celebrated Dad's birthday a day early so he could go to the pioneer celebration at the church on his birthday.  We were so happy he liked everything.

We had some more pie after the pioneer celebration.
It was nice of Rosie and her boys to come for a few days.
Mom loved these new hamburgers so much that she asked Scott to make them for her sewing buddies for their birthday celebration.  She made him a cute apron to thank him. :)

Brady is Ordained an Elder...

We were so happy Brady was able to be ordained an Elder today.
I was so glad Mom took this picture of him.

I was happy we took a few more together when we got home.

Brandon Visits...

I was so happy to be able to finally have a chance to pick up Brandon and have him stay for the night.  I love it when he is in a good mood and we can get a couple of selfies.

Friday morning I wanted to pull a few weeds before it got too hot so I had Brandon sit out by me and we jammed to some tunes while I worked in my yard.  It was fun to get some cute pictures with his grandma.

New Fence...

Conquer Peak Construction started our new vinyl fence on July 6th and surprisingly finished it on July 11th.  We were so happy with how it turned out.  Now we get to plant our grass and do some landscaping.
