Earthquake in Idaho...

As the nation reels from the impact of the coronavirus, Idaho feels its most powerful eqrthquake since Oct 28, 1983 (6.9 magnitude east of the Lost River fault zone.  There were two fatalities in Challis, Idaho and 12 million in damages.).  The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 6.5 magnitude earthquake in central Idaho at approximately 5:52 pm on Tuesday March 31st.  The quake struck approximately 72 miles northeast of Boise, originating at a depth of 6.2 miles near Stanley and Challis.  No injuries that I no of and it was felt as far north as Canada.  Some say they felt in in Orem Utah.

It was the weirdest feeling.  I was sitting on the our large sectional couch and all of a sudden I could see it swaying back and forth and then I heard a loud crack and I thought it was the wind and then Scott and I looked at each other and realized we were experiencing an earthquake.  We heard something fall off the self and then Brady came running into the room.  I don't think I can ever remember feeling an earthquake before but Scott said he could remember the one from 1983.  We immediately called Cole and Kacie and they said they never felt it but Cole's brother Brandon did and they live in Rexburg too.

Laura texted "I'm glad today is the last day of March Madness!  This has been an unforgettable one!

Sunday Drive...

Late Sunday afternoon the three of us went for a beautiful dive up to the Owyhee Dam.  The lake isn't quite full yet.  It was fun to finally get out of the house.  I stayed home all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Brady and I watched the second Mary Poppins movie then we got hooked on a new Netflix series.  AnnE with an E.  I watched all three seasons in three days! haha!  I remember watching ones similar when I was a kid and so it was fun to watch them again.  A lot of it is the same but also really different too.

Later Sunday night we video chatted on Zoom with all the family.  That was fun!

CoronaVirus...

Rosie's family all came to visit so the kids would have more space to run and play while everyone is quarantined during this Corona Virus craziness.  They came up on March 17th for a week since no one has school until May 1st as of now.  The next day Utah had an 5.7 earthquake so then EJ came too.

Mom and Dad also had a sacrament meeting with Rosie's family while we were in McCall.  Later in the evening they got word that Kyle will be coming home early because of the Corona Virus.  He won't be reassigned since he only has four months left.  I helped Mom make him a Welcome Home sign on Monday then they all went home March 24th to get ready for Kyle to come whenever that is.
It was crazy how everyone horrid the toilet paper and cleaning supplies.  There has been a ton of funny memes on Facebook.

I always love playing games with the family.

Also Grandma Joan had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her colon.  She did really well and came home the next day but she has been really sick.  The good news is they do think they got it all and she won't have to have any more treatments.

McCall with The Wheelers...

Thursday the 19th Scott, Brady and I headed up to McCall after work. We met Joe and Jolene at Rupert's for dinner. Brady and I had salmon and the others had their Thai specials plus we all had dessert. It was really yummy. We were the restaurant's last dine in until after the Corona Virus dies out. After we followed Joe and Jolene to their cabin. On the way we stopped and they showed us the White Tail club house and the Fish and Swim then we went to their cabin which was so nice I couldn't believe it. We then visited until Cole and Kacie made it around midnight. The next day we had a yummy breakfast then Jolene, Kacie, Brady and I walked back down to the clubhouse and we played for a little while then walked back to the cabin. I basically had to pull Brady back up the hill. haha! Joe, Scott and Cole rode the razors in the snow while us girls played Phase 10 and Brady relaxed on his phone. It was fun, then we got ready to go to dinner at the White Tail Club house right on the Payette Lake. It was really yummy too and I had my for first scallops pictured below.  Brady had the grilled chicken and the brownie and ice cream.  After we got back Cole, Kacie and Brady went to the hot tub at the Fish and Swim.

The view from the cabin is so beautiful...

Saturday Scott and I joined Joe and Cole at the clubhouse.  Scott and I shot baskets while Joe and Cole were finishing their game of pickle.  We were going to play doubles but then they told us that they were closing the building due to the Corona Virus.  Joe and I then walked back to the cabin and we all had a yummy breakfast.  A bunch of them decided they needed a drink from town so while they were gone Jolene and I went on another walk.  We walked about three miles and I really enjoyed our conversation and the beautiful views and fresh air.   Later we all had a blast riding the razors in the snow.  We even convinced Brady to drive and it was so fun watching him.  He had so much fun!

Joe grilled some tenderloins on the Traeger.  It was cute had he included Brady putting the steaks on the grill.  They were soooo good too!  Later in the evening we roasted marshmallows and had s'mores.  It was fun!
Sunday morning we cleaned up the cabin and had another yummy breakfast.  After we had a sweet sacrament meeting and Cole and Brady blessed and administered the sacrament.  We read and discussed the tree of life from the Book of Mormon.  It was wonderful how we all felt the spirit there.  We had such a great weekend.  Joe and Jolene are so nice to share this incredible cabin with us.  We don't know quite how to thank them.

Scott's Birthday...

Cole and Kacie surprised us by coming home for the weekend since Scott's Tool concert on the 14th got canceled due to the CoronaVirus.  It was fun having them.  Saturday we had a yummy breakfast then Scott, Cole, Kacie & Brady went to Ron's to site in some guns and get Dutch Bros while I made Scott's birthday cake.  After they got back Scott and Cole did some more shooting while Kacie, Brady and I played games with Mom and Teniele.  That night the five of us went out to eat at Ogawa's and then we got a few groceries for Scott's birthday dinner Sunday.

Cake wasn't much to look at but it sure tasted good.  Kacie and I posted the pictures below.  I hope he had a good birthday despite his concert getting postponed and having a small party.  It was sure fun have Cole and Kacie with us.

Solo & Treasure Valley Chorale Concert...

On March 10th Brady sang in the Solo Festival.  I thought he did a great job.  I'm so proud of him, that is something I never would be brave enough to do.  That night Mom got Donna, Teniele and I tickets to see the BYU International Folk Dancers.  I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.  They did dances from USA, Spain, Mexico, Hungary, Russia, Indonesia, Ireland, India, France, Canada, Slovakia, Norway, Tibet & Ukraine.  One of my favorites was from Indonesia and I also loved the Irish music but they were all great.

Then on March 12th Brady sang in the Treasure Valley Chorale Concert.  Governor Brown just ordered no crowds bigger than 250 people to help prevent the spread of the Corona Virus so the concert was just videoed with only about ten people in the crowd which I'm sure was just a few family members.  They sounded great.  Some of the songs were pretty funny and even Brady started laughing during one.  They were all songs about animals.

He looks so handsome in his tuxedo.  I think this will be he last concert with TVCC unless he can find a friend to do it with him.

The high school select choir sang Ad Astra (to the stars...), Bright Morning Stars and Thixo Onothando.

Brady always does such a good job!  I love watching him sing!
