Brady's Braces Come Off...

We were all pretty excited for Brady to get his braces off but no one was more excited than Brady.

He's so cute!
We had to celebrate with some Dutch Bros before I took him out to the school.
He has to wear a retainer for two weeks day and night and then after that it is just at night.
They gave him a cup of candy plus he earned a $25 Dutch Bros gift card too for never breaking any bands.

Michelle Peterson's Baby Shower...

We had a fun evening celebrating Michelle's upcoming baby girl.
Tara and Maddie organized the decorations and food.
I was there to help wherever needed.
Can you tell her favorite color is purple?
The food was super yummy.  Maddie made some cream cheese wontons and a crispy wonton chicken salad.  Tara made the fruit sugar cookies and grape lemonade punch plus the veggie cups in ranch.  She had a great turnout and got a lot of nice things for her new baby.

Mom, Jenny and Donna made this cute quilt.

Caroline taught us a new game called 'Bank' (I think?)  It was pretty fun!

Ryan Starts College at Weber State..

On August 26th Ron and Stacie took Ryan to college at Weber State in Ogden Utah.  It's hard to believe he is now a college student.  We sure hope he enjoys school and his track team and new roommates.
If I remember right Stacie said he has his own room but shares a kitchen with some other boys from the track team.
I can't wait to watch him at college!
Saturday they were able to go to Lagoon.
I'm glad they had one last fun activity together.

Last First Day of School...

Can't believe this is Brady's last first day of school and Scott's 15th year teaching at Harper.   I sure hope they both have a great year!  This will be a new adjustment getting up earlier so Brady can attend early morning seminary.  They had to leave the house at 6:25 so their picture was in the dark.   Hopefully, Scott will enjoy having more time in the morning to prepare for class.

I snagged another picture of Brady after school. (:
First early morning seminary class of Harper.  Ali Zinie is their teacher.
Brady is the only senior so he will be the first seminary graduate of Harper, Oregon.
James and Joshua's first day of school was the week prior.

Cole and Kacie's Visitors...

Cole and Kacie had company over the weekend.
They had a lot of fun with Cole's cousin Keslie, Seth, and little Stoklie.

Even made a trip to Jackson.  So fun!

Freezer Corn...

This is our third day putting up freezer corn and I'm sure glad to be done.
For some odd reason, the corn wasn't as good this year.
It still tasted good it just didn't pollinate right.
I think were just shy of 100 quart bags.

Raised Garden Beds & Little Gifts...

I made these tags to give with some lotion for my ministering sisters for the first day of school.  Mary teaches math at the Nyssa High School and Jessica teaches preschool.  I sure hope they liked them.

Since we are hoping to put in a new vinyl fence sometime in the future I looked on Pinterest for ways to build raised garden beds from cedar fencing.  I'm pretty proud of myself that I was able to make these with the help of mom and Scott.  I'm still hoping to become a gardener.  I guess we will see. haha!

Talbot Dinner & Hi-Cliffs...

On Sunday, August 14th we had a big Talbot dinner.  We decided to have it at my parent's house since their house is much bigger than ours and they have a wonderful yard to entertain.  The kids had a lot of fun going down the slip n slide.  They also enjoyed playing basketball, cornhole, swinging, jumping on the trampoline, and riding little scooters.  All of Nanette's kids came to go camping at Hi-Cliffs so it was fun to all get together.  Scott smoked some pork and we had tacos.  He also made two different spicy sauces and I made a chocolate Texas sheet cake and a peanut butter one.  I was happy they both turned out so good.

Tuesday the 16th a bunch of us went up to spend the evening at Hi-Cliffs.  Stacie brought up some Papa Murphys for us all to have for dinner.  It was fun visiting and some of us played volleyball and of course the slip n slide.  It was a fun evening.
As we were waiting for everyone to come for the group picture I have fun taking random picutres.

Because of the low light some people may be blurry if they moved when the picture was taken. haha!

We are just missing Adam, Kim, and Luca since he was struggling at the time but I stole the picture below from Kim's Instagram.  They are so cute!

It was fun having Kim, Adam, Luca, Brittney, Brooke, and Brenden stay Sunday night with us before they went up to the camp Monday.
