Encanto & Christmas Lights...

Friday the 26th a bunch of us went to see Encanto in Caldwell and then after we walked through Indian Creek to see all the Christmas lights.  It was so fun!  The movie was really cute too and was centered around a family in Columbia and how they all have unique gifts.  I loved how colorful it was too!

After the five of us went to eat at Costa Vida.

Thanksgiving 2021...

We had a small Thanksgiving this year and a first at my house.  We were going to do it at mom and dad's but their furnace is broken and the smell of diesel is really bad so we changed it to our house.  Kacie and I went to get Brandon while the boys were coyote hunting.  We ate around 2:00 and there were just nine of us.  Mom made the turkey, potatoes, gravy and rolls.  I made pies and green bean casserole.  Everything was so yummy and it was fun to take pictures, play games and just be together.

I made a cherry cheese and coconut cream pie and we bought two pumpkin pies from Costco.

We were so lucky to get this family picture I will use for our Christmas card this year.  We had a lot of bad ones but it only takes one! (:

Thanksgiving Hunts...

Scott and Ron took Cole coyote hunting for the first time and he loved it.  I was happy he got one!

Reid's family went elk hunting over Thanksgiving.  I was happy he got one also.  I was also really impressed Laura pulled off a full Thanksgiving dinner in a camper.

Weekend Before Thanksgiving...

I started taking down all my fall decorations November 18th and putting up Christmas.  I worked on it Thursday and Friday night after work and finally got it all done Saturday morning.  It will be nice to have it up when Cole and Kacie come.

We had the most beautiful sunset Sunday November 21st.
Cole had to come early for a business meeting so these two decided to come Saturday and go to McCall to be there when Joe is put in as bishop in the young single's branch.  On their way to back to Nampa Monday the 22nd they came to our house for dinner.  It was nice to spend some time with them.

Tuesday the 23rd Cole and Kacie met Scott and I in caldwell to go to the College of Idaho basketball game with Jason and Tawni.  It was a fun night too!

Oregon vs BYU Basketball

We had a lot of fun watching BYU and Oregon play basketball.  It was especially fun because #33 Issac Johnson for Oregon was playing against his brother #20 Spencer Johnson for BYU.  We were all shocked how bad BYU beat Oregon 81-49.  Oregon was even ranked in the top ten.

pretty cool!!!
We were shocked when we started watching the game the first thing we see is David Hopper!
Fun picture of them together with their sister Grace.

Calvin Hiatt's Funeral...

Scott and I attended Calvin's funeral.  Luckily we got there early enough so we were able to get a seat.  There was standing room only and they even had a video feed sent to some other rooms in the Vale church building.  The funeral was amazing.  We were all really touched by the song "Peace in Christ" sung by all his nieces and daughters.  On the very last line his daughter sang alone and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the building.  He was quite the guy and will be so missed especially by Scott and everyone at Harper.  They even shut down school so everyone that wanted could go.

Weekend at Cole and Kacie's...

Since Scott and Brady had a long 4 day weekend with Veteran's Day we decided to visit Cole and Kacie.  We left Thursday the 11th and of course stopped in Nampa for some lunch at Jimmy John's and Dutch Bros.  After we got to Rexburg the five of us went to dinner at the Hickory.  It was really good!  Later Jolene and Carriesa came by and we visited with them for a little bit.  They are helping Kacie put up Christmas the next day. They started decorating around 9:30 on Friday.  When the three of them left to get more decorations, Scott, Brady and I went to Mill-hollow for lunch.  We love eating there.  When we got back to the house I couldn't believe how beautiful all the decorations looked.  I told Kacie her home could be in a catalog it looked so good!

They left around 4:30.  It was fun to see them.  That night we ate at a Mexican restaurant there in Rexburg.  It was really good too!  Saturday Scott and Cole drove around and shot their airguns while Kacie and I made some cookies.  Later we drove to Idaho Falls and had lunch at Red Robin and did some shopping.  We stopped at a motor sports place and Scott found a really nice Ogio Rig 9800 gear bag for $135.00.  He was pretty excited.  We also did some shopping at Big Al's and Costco.  Kacie and I both got drawer organizers from Costco.  Later that evening Kacie and I picked up Taylor and we watched Jungle Cruise.  It was fun to spend some time with her.

Sunday we slept in and just relaxed and hung out plus took a few pictures before they went to church and we headed home.  It was a fun weekend!  I love it when we get to spend time with them.
