#battlewithberniel #kickALS

The kids and I were able to ride with Mom, Dad, Teniele and her boys to Kennewick, WA to surprise Aunt Berniel for her ALS walk.  When she saw us she was so surprised she started crying.  It was pretty special.  I loved getting to see some of the cousins I haven't seen in a long time.
Tara, Brooke and I
There was a big sea of red all there supporting Berniel.
Her group was by far the largest!

Loved seeing these two doing their best to walk for her.  Mom's knee starting hurting so they only made it half way, but I was so proud of them!

Brady loved seeing the Columbia River...he asked me is this excercise? haha!
Too cute!

We walked about 1.5 miles each way.
Brent, Berniel, Brenden, Can't see Cindy, Troy, Jennilyn, Hayley, Taryn and Dedre

Taryn and Dedre's family
I've so missed this girl right here...it was so nice to catch up with Brooke a little!

Sure love these ladies...

So glad we were able to do this with her!

We all watched the women's conference together!
We stayed the weekend with Jed and Diana in their beautiful home.  It was so nice to be able to visit with them and play a few games.  We were also able to see Aunt Roma in the hospital for a little bit.

Visit with Brandon...

Scott and Kacie went with Steve, Ron and Ryan to La Grande to see Stephen play football for EOU.  Their game was rescheduled to Sunday because of all the smoke in the air.  So I invited Wanda to go see Brandon with Brady and I.  We had a great time with him.  We drove out to see the Meridian Temple and then stopped at a park on the way back.  Brandon was so pleasant and calm it was really nice.  We were really sad to find out that Stephen broke his hand in the game so he is now out for the year.  I sure hope he decides to try it again next year.
I sure love it when we can catch a smile from Brandon.

I sure love these boys of mine!

After we got back to Nyssa I went to a Relief Society presidency meeting while Brady stayed at his grandparents house.  When I went to pick him up they popped some yummy popcorn that we all enjoyed.  It was a great day except for Bubba getting hurt.

Welcome Miss Henley...

Miah is a proud big sister now.  Tyler and Rachel had another baby girl named Henley Elaine Talbot, born September 5th at 11:28 pm.  She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 21.5 inches.

So precious...

Labor Day and Missionaries...

While Kacie was in Utah she got to spend the night with Mallory in Provo and go to church with her.  I'm really glad she got to spend some time with her.

Brady was convinced we needed to go out to eat because we did last year on Labor day so we went to Wingers.  It was fun and the food was yummy.  I had a yummy strawberry salad, Scott had sticky fingers and Brady had chicken and waffles.  Scott also had this yummy strawberry lemonade.

On Tuesday the 5th we were able to feed the missionaries... Elder Ashby and Elder Burns.  We had a Cafe Rio style dinner with ice cream for dessert.  We also had a great visit, they are awesome and will be missed.  Elder Burns only has four more months left of his mission and he said our area was his favorite.  (maybe he was just saying that but I don't think so!)
They were so cute with Brady.
We were hoping Kacie would make it back from Utah in time to join us for dinner but she was able to meet up with Jocelyn for lunch on their way home.  I'm glad she was able to see her for a little bit.

28th Anniversary...

Found this little gem while scanning pictures for the slide show I made for dad's 70th birthday so I decided to post it for our Anniversary.  It was our engagement picture and the one we used on our wedding announcements.  It's crazy it's been 28 years already.  I sure love this guy!
Yesterday we were all so excited when Kacie passed her permit test.  Later her and Mom traveled to Utah so they could help Rosie with her taxes.  Mom even let her drive part of the way.  For our anniversary we went out to eat at Lucky Fins.  This was our first time and we really liked it a lot.  Thanks to mom and dad for paying for our dinner.  Brady was able to go swimming with Teniele and her boys while we went out to eat.
This was my chipotle salmon with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes.  It was so good!  Scott had a yummy lobster sandwich with fries that had a barbecue seasoning on them.

This was our delicious appetizer which was a fried avocado with a crab and shrimp filling.  It was so good!  It was a very enjoyable evening together.
