Brandon's home!

Saturday I had to go to Nampa to hit the dollar flip flop sale at Old Navy for girls camp so I decided I would bring Brandon home for a couple of days.  Brady went with me and I couldn't believe how crazy it was at Old Navy.  I have never seen it like that before.  The check out line started at the back wall of the store and when I finally got to a cashier 25 minutes later, she informed me I was over my spending limit and if I wanted more I would have to go back to the end of the line.  I kept talking and trying to prove my case and she finally let me check out with my 21 pairs of flip flops.

Brandon and I had fun taking pictures and then all of a sudden he turned on me and tried to hit me.  I swear sometimes I think he has schizophrenia the way his personality changes.

Brady had a talk in Primary so Mom went to church with us so she could listen to his talk and then take Brandon home for us after.  Brady did a great job.  He spoke about baptism and shared a little bit about his baptism.  I was really proud of him.  I just had to help him with the hard words.
I made our primary class missionary name tags.  I think they really liked them.  It sure makes a difference in our class when we have five missing.  Pictured (LtoR) is Enrique Mendez, Caleb Woodruff, Natalie Beck, Abigail Schulthies, Branden Draper and Angel Aguilar.
It was fun to visit with Scott's Uncle Ralph and Aunt Kathy after church.
I have been looking for a long time for something to display our Hard Rock Cafe pins and haven't found anything and so I finally made my own display box.  I think it turned out pretty good and now we can actually enjoy them on our bedroom wall.

Monsters University

Yesterday Reid and Laura came to pick up their girls.  So today Reid, Dad and Scott went fishing at Watson and the rest of us went to see Monsters University.  It was a cute show and we all had a lot of fun.  After the movie we got pizza at our new Little Caezars restaurant and took it home.

Can't believe how fast Chad is growing...

I'm sure going to miss these kids.  We have had a lot of fun while they were here.

Picnic with Brandon

We picked Brandon up for a little picnic in the park.  Rosie was on her way home and wanted to stop and see him.  She got him a pack of Coke, some Oreos and a photo album with pictures of him in it for his graduation.

Brandon even talked to Reid for a little bit on the phone.

Had a good visit with Brandon...it was awesome! I love it when he is in a good mood when we see him.
We are just missing Chad and Brady.  He was at his Day Camp.

Brady's Day Camp

Brady had his first Cub Scout Day Camp.  It went from 8:30 to 3:30 so it was a big day for him.  Stacie was there with her group so it was nice of her to watch out for him and take a few pictures for us.
Shooting BB guns
Once he knew he hit the target he was done.
Tying knots

He liked the parachutes.

Stacie said he was having trouble shooting the bow and arrows until she helped him.  He was doing it left handed and once she switched him to right he started getting the hang of it.

Buying some treats at the country store.

Rock for Dad

Since Mom's birthday we have been working on getting a rock for Dad from all of his kids for Father's Day.  Last week we finally got our design all figured out and they engraved it on Monday.   Yesterday I took the day off from work so we could finally get all our landscaping done.  Thursday Mom and Rosie finally told Dad what was going on so he would work with us a little bit.  He just couldn't figure out why we wanted all this dirt brought in.  Once they told him he was a lot more eager to help us out.  Haha!  It was a lot of work, all I can say is thank heavens for heavy equipment.  We never would have got it done.

We got all the dirt built up, the stones placed and all the gravel brought in by Friday night then we had a barbecue with Dad.  Saturday morning we placed the rock and added Grandpa Alder's old farm equipment behind it.

That is one heavy rock.  I think they said close to 1300 lbs.

Love it!

I think he liked it! Whew we did it!  It is always nice when your project turns out how you in vision it!  I thought it turned out great!
