Hershey Track May 19th and June 2nd

Taylor and Lindsay
Lindsay got 1st in her 50m for the 3 year olds.  This is the first year she hasn't been shy about running.
Brady got 4th in his 50m race.  He also ran the 400m and 200m.  I love how happy he is when he finishes the race no matter what place he comes in.
Brady jumping.  He got 4th.
Ryan running the 200m

Mallory, Brady and Kacie

Taylor winning her 100m race.
On the May 19th meet, Kacie didn't have anyone to run against so she ran with the boys.  She still beat one of them and PRd at 14.4.  Then in the 200m Mallory was nice and ran with her.  Mallory also got 1st in the mile.
On June 2nd Kacie jumped 7'1'' and got 1st in the standing long jump and also got first in the 100m and 200m.  In the 100m there were 3 or 4 other girls running, but Kacie smoked them and PRd again at 14.3.  Then in the 200m none of the girls ran so she had to run with the boys again, but she did beat one of them.  So Kacie qualified to go to state in Eugene in all three of her events.

The only two pictures from June 2nd since I was still recovering from surgery.

New iPhone

I finally broke down and bought me an iPhone 4S, 16g.  I was so impressed with myself...I purchased it the morning of May 17th via Internet and it arrived the next day and I got it all set up and activated by myself online.   Mom and I had so much fun playing with Siri.  I can't believe the things that it can do and was surprised by the personality it has.  I think I am really going to love it.

My Visit with Grandma Talbot

Monday night a bunch of Scott's family got together for a fish feed.  Ron and Steve caught a bunch of trout over the weekend and we got to enjoy them.  The best part was the fun conversation I was able to have with Scott's Grandma Phyllis who just turned 100 years old.  She was telling me about her father Amos Brown Jr.  She was so proud to talk about how he was in the lead role of an opera in Logan, Utah called 'The Mikado' back in 1906.  The crazy thing was I was able to find some of the songs on my phone to share with her.  She couldn't believe I was able to do that from my phone.  I said that she has seen a lot of changes in technology in her life and she said, "Ya and I had a friend who retired from the telephone company and  he said that someday we will even be able to see each other when we talk on the phone."  I then told her that we can already do that now.  She was so amazed, she couldn't believe it.  All of that was while we were watching her favorite team the Mariners play the Red Sox and they got beat of course.  That will be a fun memory I will always cherish.

Aunt Anita's Birthday

A bunch of our family came to surprise Anita for her birthday Saturday.  It was so fun to see her expression.  We had a little mini concert for her at the home.  Stephanie and Kacie played the piano and Diana and Karen lead a sing-a-long with the guitar.  We then went to subway and brought in some lunch.  It was a nice party.

Surprise!!!

Joshua and Brady

June Hartley is Anita's visiting teacher and she comes by everyday and brings her a little treat.  Sometimes it is a piece of chocolate, licorice or a handful of strawberries.

Anita's room is so peaceful.  I love our visits here.

 Allan, Anita and Mom (Susan)
I made this bouquet for Anita for her birthday and one like it for Mom and Scott's Mom (with different pictures of course) for Mother's Day.  They were really fun to make and especially fun to see their faces when they saw them.  Mom even teared up which surprised me.  I was so glad they liked them.
After Anita's party Scott and I went to Costco with Brady and then to pick up Brandon.  It made me feel so special that Scott gave up a fishing trip with his brothers to spend the rest of the day with me and the kids.  Even though it wasn't a fancy date, just being together was nice.  Kacie stayed with Mallory and went to the Nyssa District Track Meet.  After we picked Kacie up it was so fun to see all three of my kids together in the backseat that I wanted a picture.  You can see how excited they were about it.  I thought it was pretty comical.  The next picture they were a little better about smiling.
Sunday we all went to church and held our breath that Brandon wouldn't say anything obscene.  We did get a couple of loud 'Coke or Pop' during the meeting.  Mom then took him after Sacrament to go see Anita then we had a wonderful dinner with her and Dad.  I was glad I was able to get a little nap in since Brandon didn't go to sleep until 3:30am.  It was so nice of Scott and Kacie to do my dishes.  I had another hard time taking Brandon home, what am I saying it is always hard taking him back home.  Scott and I had a long talk after we dropped him off about the journey we have had with Brandon.  We just wish we could talk to him.  I can't believe he would be graduating this year if everything had gone as planned.

Brady's Circus & Kacie's Piano Recital

We had a busy day yesterday with Brady's 1st grade circus at 2pm and then Kacie's piano recital at 7pm.

Doing the YMCA....Brady did an awesome job!

 All the Jugglers...

Brady made the cute flower with his picture for me for Mother's Day...
I love it!

 Jocie, Kacie and Mallory
Kacie did a great job on her songs.  She did cheat and opened her book on her second song even though I knew she had it memorized.  Ada is going to retire from teaching piano.  We are going to miss her....maybe she will change her mind and come back to teaching in a couple of years.  Lets hope!  We gave her a flower in appreciation for all her help these past years starting when she taught me.  And Brandon even took for a couple of years.

Jump Creek - May 6, 2012

Brady finally got Kacie to Jump Creek.  He has been begging for a long time to go back and he finally got his wish.

We have such a hard time keeping Brady with us.  He wants to always be just ahead to make us worried.
Scary...
