Brandon's New Home...

It has been so hard not being able to see Brandon during this stay at home order to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus or Covid-19.  We haven't seen him since February.  We got word today that Brandon is moving to a new home there in Meridian called the Deb House.  It is still with Tomorrow's Hope they are just closing the Navarro Home.  I was sad I couldn't go help him move.  They sent me some pictures of him taking a nap and his new room decorated.

It is nice that he has his own room now with a lot more space.  Last I heard we can't see him until the middle of June. :(

Jump Creek...

This week for Brady's computer class he needed to take portrait pictures so I took Howie and Brady out to Jump Creek so they could take pictures of each other.

I love how Brady's camera has a portrait mode that blurs the background.

They had to take some in black in white.

They also had to take pictures with a frame.
I sure love my boy!
As we were leaving Homedale it started pouring rain so we left just in time or we would have got drenched. haha!

Harlan Comes Home...

Harlan and Kendalee have been stuck in Salt Lake at the hospital waiting for his number to be good so he can get his blood transplant.  Seems like they have been there forever and he got word that they still are not good but they said they could come home for a couple of weeks.  A bunch of us got together at Cow Hollow park to welcome them home.

I love these power arms.
We will continue to pray for Harlan until he gets his miracle.

Accidents Happen...

Cole and Kacie came home for the weekend so Cole and Scott could shoot ground squirrels with Steve down in Jordan Valley.  They had too much fun the last weekend so wanted to go again.  They had a great time in the morning shooting then after they had lunch they went to get their guns out of the pickup.  As one of the guns was coming out of the case it went off and Scott was hit with shrapnel.  The bullet went through the gun case, through the backseat and hit the seat frame which sent tons of metal into Scott's legs.  After it happened Steve went up the hill to try to get service and called Ron.  Ron called 911 to get an ambulance or life-flight on board just in case.  When Ron called me all I knew was the Scott had been shot in the leg and that he might have to be life-flighted.  I was just coming home with Kacie and Brady so we turned around and went back to Gerald and Wanda's.  Once Scott knew that he wasn't bleeding heavily and it was just superficial he thought he could just drive.  The ranchers there also offered to fly him to town but he thought he would be fine.  He was so lucky.   Cole drove him to the hospital in Nampa near Costco.  No one was able to go in the hospital with him because of Covid-19.  They X-Rayed him and the doctor said he was full of fine metal but they don't like to remove it because gun wounds are so dirty.  However, he could feel part of the bullet under the larger hole so the doctor said he would try to remove it because it was bothering him.  Scott said he couldn't watch him pull on his skin as he was trying to cut it out.  We were all pretty worried until we got word that he wouldn't have to have surgery.  He had to spend about four hours there by himself before we picked him up around 6:30pm.

Where the bullet came out and hit the metal seat frame.

About four days later is when the bruising was the worst.
The doctor told him to keep the wounds cleaned, covered, and moist.  They have to heal from the inside out.  The big hole oozed for over a month.   Not everyone can say they have been shot let alone twice.  He definitely has angels watching over him.  It took about six weeks before the big wound finally stopped oozing and bleeding.

Owyhee Lake...

This week in Brady's computer class he needed to take landscape pictures so we went on another adventure out in the Owyhee's
I thought these turned out pretty cool.
He haad to take a picture using a camera app so he took this one which put a date stamp on the picture.
Scott drove out through Sucker Creek and on Power Line road up above to view lake Owyhee.  It was so beautiful but pretty windy which was frustrated.  We will have to go back when it is better weather.  We got some awesome pictures though.

On our way out we decided to drive down where it exits by the church camp.  Scott had to put the pickup in crawl mode.  It was pretty white knuckled at times.  I love our little adventures...so fun!
