Halloween 2018...

This Halloween felt so weird to me.  I stayed home from work so I could make cupcakes and baked potatoes for the Harvest Carnival at the Lighthouse church in Nyssa.  I made chocolate with peanut butter frosting cupcakes and wrapped 32 potatoes.  I then got there around 4:30 to help with a cake walk or I should say cupcake walk. Haha.  I downloaded about 30 minutes of Halloween music but because it was outside and there were so many people you couldn't hear the music very well so we gave up on it and just started handing them out to people.  Brady went with Stacie's family out to the Harper carnival then we all met up at Wanda and Gerald's house.  Looks like Brandon and Kacie were the only one's from our family that dressed up this year.

He doesn't look to thrilled to be a Teletubby...haha!

Cuties...Kacie, Misa and Ashley
(I wonder if they planned on being patriotic...haha!)
They went to a party but Kacie said it was kind of lame.  But she said they went out Tuesday night and had a bonfire and made hamburgers and smore's and had a lot of fun.  She said if felt good to get out of her apartment.

Brady Is Ordained A Teacher & Kacie Comes Home...

October 28th Brady was ordained a Teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood.  It was wonderful to have so many great men in the circle and to have all of his grandparents there for support.

It's crazy how much he has changed in two years.

Kacie came home October 25th because she was a little homesick and needing a break from school.  It was nice to have her home for the weekend.  Friday night Scott and I went out to dinner with Kacie and Cole and his parents Joe and Jolene.  We ate at the Outback, it was really good and we had a great visit.  We got there at 6:30 and stayed till almost closing time which was 11:00.  Cole and Kacie left about an hour before we did.  It was really nice getting to meet them and know them a little better.  They are super nice.

Saturday Scott went with Steve to watch Ryan play in their football playoff game held in Madras.  I guess Harper killed them. Kacie went to lunch with Mallory and Brady and then Dutch Bros of course.  That night she went out to dinner with Cole at the Cracker Barrel and then Haunted World.  She said they had a blast.   I stayed home to stain our deck which pretty much took all day.  It looks so much better and I figured I spent about 20 hours all together stripping the old paint, cleaning and staining it.

I love this time of year especially when my mum's start blooming...

Fall Choir Concert...

Nyssa got a new choir teacher this year and it's amazing how much better they sound.  Her name is Gretchen Longwell.  She started the concert with all the choirs and the audience stranding and singing the National Anthem.  The sixth grade choir then sang I'm Gonna Sing, Shenandoah and Yonder Come Day.
The Nyssa Middle School Advanced Choir sang Tue, Tue (Come Sing A Song), In This Ancient House (Momoshiki Ya) and This Old Hammer.  Brady always does a great job singing every word and we could even hear him a little.

The Nyssa High School Select Choir sang a couple of solos and then the choir sang Umahlalela, Gentle Words an Oye.  Then just the girls sang The Parting Glass and they were wonderful.

Taylor and Hailey sang solos and together during Oye.
They are cute!

They sang acappella and it was amazing.
We sure love this boy! I love it that he enjoys choir so much!

Brandon, Kingston & New Business...

Brandon's home will send me pictures of him from time to time and I love it!

I'm not sure what was going on in these pictures, they don't give me any details and it wasn't Easter but I thought they were so cute!

I absolutely love this picture of him!  It totally made my day!
I love getting pictures of Kingston too!  He is so adorable!
I love this picture of Ray's Food Fair from way back in the day.  You can see a dozen eggs only cost .65 cents and you could buy three loaves of bread for a dollar.  After it burned down this lot was vacant for many years until the Cattle Drive Coffee bought and fixed it up.  It looks so nice now and they have great drinks and I've heard that their Philly cheese-steaks are delicious.
