This was Kacie's 2nd Cotillion.  She had a lot of fun with her friends Jocie, Mallory, Melissa, Gavin, Heath, Madi, Kali and Steele.  I'm so happy she has so many good friends.  (Pictured with Jocie and Melissa.)

Track & Field

Kacie's track meet last week at Melba was so cold. I love this picture of all the girls. Kacie is with Mallory Jensen, Ally Kovis, Jocie Hartley and Maddi Wilcox. Kacie struggled getting her steps right with the long jump but she did awesome in her 200 in the sprint medley.
Yesterday April 18th they went to Homedale for the Marsing track meet. Kacie got a PR in all her events...she did so good!
Taylor and Kacie
Mallory in the 1600m, she got 6th and PRd at 6:46.90
This was Kacie's first 100m. She ran 14.55 and got 7th out of 39 girls. Scott is back there coaching her...

Tuesday night Kacie's Grandpa Gerald worked with her and Mallory on their long jump and Mallory's high jump. I do believe it helped a lot since Kacie went from 10'7" to 13'2.5". That put her tied for 3rd place out of 34 jumpers. And Mallory went from 10'7" to 11'9.5" in the long jump tied for 7th and in the high jump she went from never going over the bar to 3'8" in 5th place.
4x100 relay team: Ally Kovis, Irma Ibanez, Asu Trujillio and Katie Shurtleff. They tied for 3rd
Kacie & Mallory
Sprint Medley they ran 2:19.76. Asucena Trujillio does the 1st 100m, Lucy Trujillo does the 2nd 100m, Regan Hartley ran the 200m and Kacie ran the 400m which I think was at about 1:13

Then Kacie had to run the open 200m right after. She was so tired and didn't want to run it but she did so good again. She got 5th out of 30 runners at a time of 30.8.
I only got a video of Jocie running the hurdles. She got a PR in the 100m hurdles at 19.98. She ran the 200m hurdles at 36.01. Her 4x400 relay PRd at 5.13.90 and she tied for 2nd in the pole vault at 5.9 and PRd.

And Now The Rest of our Day

Scott and I went with Brady to the Elk's Children's Rehab Center Yesterday. We were there from 10:30 until 5 pm. We didn't break for lunch until 2 pm. It was no wonder that Brady wouldn't cooperate with all they wanted him to do. By 2pm Scott and I were not wanting to cooperate either. When we first got there and the Neuro Psychologist was observing Brady she thought he looked and acted just fine but then when she tried to make him do things he wasn't interested in that is when all the red flags started popping up. They did eventually diagnosis him with Autism. But she assured us that with the right therapy and help from the school hopefully he will be fine. Or maybe that is just me trying to look at the best of the situation.

It was a pretty over whelming day for us and to top it off, during our little break for lunch we went to pick up some supplies for the school carnival and got into a fender bender with another car. The crazy thing about it was that the parking lot that we were in was not busy at all. Scott just pulled to the side of the building and as he was backing up to the store this car came out of no where and tried to squeeze in between him and the store and Scott didn't see it until it was too late. I just don't understand why things like that have to happen.

After all of that we then picked Brandon up for his birthday party and tried real hard to put on a happy face.

Brandon's 18th Birthday

18 candles!!! I can't believe it!

Here is our family of five!
We were happy Great Grandma Joan was able to make it.

I guess we all had the same of idea of tshirts. He also got a lot of treats, money, itunes gift card and an eight pack of Coke zero. Brandon is always asking for a Coke. In fact he even walked back in the kitchen and tried to help himself to a Coke. The server was really nice to help him get it.

I can't believe even Great Grandma was able to make it!
It was nice that a couple of kids from Brandon's home were able to come.
It was so nice of Alan and Tami's family to give him the candy bar bouquet with a picture of their family.
We always hate the part when we have to take him back home, especially when he keeps following us to the door when we leave...
Happy 18th Birthday Brandon...We love you soooooo much!!!

Easter

The kids liked their Easter baskets. Brady got the Winnie the Pooh movie he has been wanting and Kacie got a really cute Harry Potter charm bracelet plus all the other fun candy and stuff.

Aunt Barbara and Launa with Mom

I love Kacie's new Easter dress.Brady has been asking to go to Barber Rick's the last few days and I finally figured out he was wanting to go to Aunt Barbara'a house. So we went over Sunday after our dinner with mom and a game with Valeda and Melissa. When we got there they were getting ready for their Easter Egg hunt and they were so nice to include him.

Brady loves to play at Aunt Barbara's house...
Later they celebrated Kailani and Abigail's birthdays that are on the same day as Brandon's April 11th.
It was a beautiful day!
