Spring Break...

We had plans to go to the Oregon Coast for two nights over spring break but because it was supposed to rain the whole time we decided to cancel our plans and we spent one night in Boise at the Grove Hotel.  We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory prior to checking into our room.  We got some yummy cheesecake to go and enjoy in our room.  We watched "A Man Called Otto."  We all really liked it and thought the $19.99 to rent it was well worth it.

Brady was pretty happy we got a room with such a good view.
Friday we checked out just before 11:00.  Brady and I checked out the gym and pool area before we left.  It was really nice.  They closed it at 8:00 the night prior so we didn't get a chance to use it but we sure enjoyed our movie.  We went to Trader Joe's for our first time and got a few things before going to Costco and then lunch at "Off The Hook."  Brady was happy to get some fish n chips and clam chowder since we weren't able to at the coast.  I got some yummy salmon and grilled veggies and Scott got some halibut fish n chips.  It was soo good!  We got home around 5:00 and we watched "Beast" from Redbox.  It was a fun makeup trip from all the rain on the coast.  We can't believe how cold and rainy this spring has been.

Last Day at Canyon Financial...

On March 29th I snapped this picture of my last day of work.
We spent the day cleaning and answering a few phone calls.

Tyson had fun showing his art skills on the paint app.

It is hard to believe it has come to an end.  I started working here in May 2005 so it has been almost 18 years.  I now get to figure out how to file for unemployment and look for a new job.  I was kind of sad saying goodbye to some of our customers, one even gave me a hug.

New Raised Garden Beds...

That is four bags of the same compost but it's crazy how different they look.

I planted some strawberries in the top bed.
We have been doing a lot of backyard cleanup.  While starting to tear down our old fence I decided to make raised beds from the old cedar fencing.  Today I started filling them up.  I started with brown paper bags, then added some sticks, leaves, compost, and topsoil.  I sure hope my little garden grows.

Kacie and Melissa's Girl Trip...

I'm so happy these two lifelong friends were able to travel to Las Vegas together to go to the Taylor Swift concert.  Carmen and I were a little nervous about them traveling together alone so we were always relieved when we knew they made it make to their hotel room safely.  They said the concert was amazing!  I would say that is one bucket list item they can check off.(:

St. George, Snow Geese & March Birthdays...

Scott went out to shoot his airguns with his brothers.
While they were gone we got thousands of snow geese.

Cole and Kacie were able to spend a cold week in St. George with his parents and brother Brandon.  They are the cutest!!

Part of God's beautiful creations...
On Sunday the 19th Stacie had a birthday party for Taylor and Scott.
It is always fun when we can get together.  I gave Taylor a black dress I hope she liked it.

Mom and Dad treated us to Jalapenos for Scott's birthday dinner.
It was so good

I couldn't believe we got Scott to put on the sombrero but we couldn't talk him into letting them sing happy birthday to him. haha!
