Track Meet and Pack Meeting

Kacie had a track meet in Fruitland.  She ran the 4x200, 100m & did the long jump.

Kacie started them off in the 4x200 relay
 Looking good girl!
Marisa Escobedo, Corrin Shuster, and Kaylynn Mclay ran with her in the 4x200

It was fun to see Jensen Lighten run.  He is Cassie's son
She PRd in the Long Jump with 13' still not her furthest though.

As soon as Kacie was done jumping I had to hurry to Nyssa for Brady's pack meeting.  He earned a couple of merit badges.

They did a cute little skit using their dad's arms and hands to act out how they made some of the food for the night.  Porter acted out making baked beans and Brady did corn bread.  They were cute.

Track Meet in Nampa

Kacie was really disappointed when she found out she wouldn't be able to Long Jump at this meet.  But I was so proud of her for going and competing anyway in the 4x200 and the sprint medley.

Grandma Sue was so proud of her too that she gave her some money to go towards some new shoes shown below.  Kacie's are the gray and yellow ones.  I got the crazy pink ones.  Scott already had his Nike Air Max.  Now we all have a pair! After we were done shopping we went to Famous Dave's and Costco.
Stacie was so nice to take Brady to the Nyssa school carnival with her kids.  They had a lot of fun too!  It's hard when you can't be at two places at once.  I'm glad he didn't break his neck! Haha!

My Fingernail Infection

So after church my mom and Scott finally talked me into going to the doctor to get my finger checked out.  About a week before I was opening a box of cereal and got a piece of cardboard stuck under my fingernail.  I thought I was able to get it out but yesterday it was really starting to bothering me.  It became really swollen and that night even woke me up it was hurting so bad.  So Scott drove me to Valley Family in Ontario.  The doctor said I had Paronychia and gave me a really strong antibiotic.  Scott was quick to tell me how glad he was that he took me to the doctor.  I thought it was cute how concerned he was about me.

Brady's Science Fair

Scott found this science experiment that Brady fell in love with.
He understood it really well and did it all by himself.
filling the cups with water.
putting in the food coloring.
stirring it up.
Placing the paper towels.
Finished assembling...now we wait.

This is his before and after picture.
We all thought it was pretty cool and very colorful.
Even though he didn't win we thought he did awesome and we were all so proud of him.
He liked this so much that he is still making them.
I have cups of food coloring all over my kitchen. Haha!

Brandon's Twenty-One...

Grandma Joan had a total knee replacement on Monday the 6th so Brady went with Mom to visit her while Scott and I went over early to get Brandon some gifts then we met everybody that could come at Golden Coral for his birthday dinner.

Had to send all his cousins a birthday picture!
The only thing Brandon wanted for his birthday dinner was dessert and Diet Coke! Haha!

It was so nice of these boys to come...True, Cyrus & Kevin.

So grateful to all those that could come.  We didn't want to take him right back to his home after his dinner so Scott and I took him to a couple more stores with us in Boise so we could spend some more time with him.  It's still not easy taking him back to his home, I don't know if it ever will... I sure love this boy and I can't believe he is 21!  I guess I can't say boy anymore...

While we were walking through Costco I started getting sick and sure enough ended up missing church the next day with some kind of flu bug.  I sure hope I didn't share it with Brandon.
