Track Awards & Last Day of School

Before Brady's Pack Meeting on Wednesday the 28th, we went to Kacie's Track Awards.  She lettered in track and also got the Most Valuable Jumper award.  I thought that was pretty cool for a Freshman and she even got a medal.

Kacie's last day of school was May 30th and Mallory and Jocelyn came over and then Jocelyn spent the night.  They had a fun night.  It was so nice to hear that Kacie was sad that school was over.  That was is probably a first for her.  So glad she ended up having a good year.  Hope she will continue to enjoy High School.  I can't believe she only has three years of school left.

Brady's Pack Meeting

Brady was pretty proud of his soda bottle rocket.  His flew the best out of them all and defiantly flew the highest by FAR!  I have to admit they were more fun than I thought.

Here Brady is getting ready to set it off.
 Blast off!
I couldn't believe how high his would go.
This picture shows about half as high as it went.

Brady's Awards & Kacie's Piano Recital

Brady has his end of the year award's assembly.  He got the quality speller award and a 3rd place trophy for the science fair.  I had to work so I wasn't there but luckily his Gma Sue was there to take pictures.  She said the grin on his face was priceless and she was so glad she was able to witness the pure joy on his face.

That evening we had Kacie's piano recital at Ada Ballantyne's
All the kids did a great job.
Kacie played Les Avenues De Paris by Eugenie Rocherolle
and Cowboy Song

Ada does an amazing job.

Sunday Drive

Brady wanted to get out of the house so Scott thought it would be fun to drive to the top of Blackjack Butte.

Brady loves pointing out all the different Buttes and hills and naming them.  I couldn't begin to tell you all of them, but he sure does.

Love this Treasure Valley that we live in.  I couldn't believe how far we could see.  We could see the dome clear in Payette and the Sugar factory in Nampa.

OSAA 3A State Track & Field

So Kacie still wanted to go to State Track and watch her team so Scott and I decided a road trip would be fun so we took her.  We left on Thursday after work and stayed in Bend and then went on into Eugene Friday.  Watching John Bates win the 110m hurdles by .004 thousandths of a second and Bryson Shira from Adrian coming from behind to win the 800m totally made the trip worth it.  That was so fun plus the Nyssa and Adrian boys both won State in their divisions.  So Cool!
We had to get a selfie at Hayward Field and Jocelyn photo bombed us!
Sure got Kacie's funny bone!
 Then Bailey joined in!
After the meet we stayed in Salem and then went shopping at the Outlets in Woodburn.  We then had a nice lunch at Olive Garden and then headed home.  We had a great trip.

Sunday Drive...

Brady wanted to get out of the house so the four of us went on a nice Sunday drive up to the Owyhee Dam. We all couldn't believe how low the water is.  Kacie and I stayed in the pickup enjoying some cracked pepper sunflower seeds while Scott took Brady down to the lake to throw a few rocks.  I got some pretty cool pictures though while we waited.

District Track May 16th & 17th

I went up by myself to watch Kacie in her District Track meet in Hermiston, Oregon.

100 meter
We were so happy she PRd and made it to the finals with a time of 13.90

Long Jump

She PRd again with a jump of 14.04.75 and got 5th place.

Mallory and Kacie with their jump coaches Marcelas and Mrs. Ramos
Kacie loves them!

I was really happy their relay team PRd too with the time of 55.53.
300m Hurdles

Kacie was so nervous about running in the 300m hurdles especially after falling last time and it only being her second time racing in them.  I was so proud of her for finishing the race especially since it is one of the hardest races.  Plus she scored more points for her team.  Hopfully she can build on this experience for next year.

This is Mallory getting her 4th place ribbon in the Triple Jump.  She jumped 28.8.25.  She also did the long jump and PRd at 14.00.50 and ran with Kacie in the 4x100 and the 800m with a time of 2:52.16 and got 4th.  So she had a great meet also.
cute! cute! cute!
Heath's 300m race was pretty exciting! He was in 3rd place and the kid in front of him hit a hurdle and Heath was able to pass him for 2nd place and a chance to go to State.  He also ran on their 4x400 relay and they got 1st and going to State.

Love this picture of Kacie with her coaches Miss. Sullivan and Genniel Frahm!  They were so excited for Kacie finishing the 300m hurdles.
Our Nyssa boys took 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the shot put. Cheyene Webb, Damien Olvera & Camyrn Blanchard.
It was so fun to watch the whole Nyssa team compete.  The boys team did really well and got 1st place. None of the girls were able to make it to State.  Hopefully next year!
