Kacie's Break From College...

Kacie came home April 11th after finishing her second semester of College.  We are so proud of what she has accomplished and it was so fun to have her home for a while.  Friday the 12th she went with Stacie to Burns to watch Taylor run in a track meet.  It was fun to have Cole come out and eat lunch with us after church on the 14th.  Scott grilled some tri-tip and we had salad and onion roasted potatoes but the highlight was the Texas sheet cake that we made.  Everyone loved it!  We loved getting to spend some time visiting with Cole.  Monday the 15th Kacie had a appointment with Dr. Bender.  All her lab work looked really good and her blood pressure was low so they cut her blood pressure medicine in half which will be good.  After we had lunch at Zupas and then did some shopping at the mall.  We got some Easter dresses for us and dress pants and ties for Brady.  We also went to the Village in Meridian then headed home.
Wednesday the 17th Cole's sister Carriesa did Kacie's hair.  It turned out really nice.  Thursday the 18th Kacie and I went to Nampa with mom to get pedicures.  We had lunch at Cracker Barrel and went to Costco also.  Later that night Cole came back out to our house and had tacos with us and then Scott and him went out to do a little shooting and climb some hills.  After they got back we had some cinnamon rolls from Costco. They had a great time and I think Kacie was a little jealous she only saw him for about 30 minutes that day. haha!  Friday Kacie picked Brady up a little early from school and they had fun going to Dutch Bros.  Kacie left around 5:00 to go with Cole to his cousin's wedding dinner.  She enjoyed getting to meet more family on his mother's side.

Saturday the 20th at the last minute Kacie went with Cole and his family to lunch at Fiesta Guadalajara, shopping and the wedding reception. They took this adorable picture.  They are so dang cute together. (Thanks to Carriesa for letting her borrow the cute outfit.)  She wasn't planning on doing more wedding stuff Saturday but ended up having a wonderful day. (:  Sunday we had a wonderful Easter together.  Monday she helped grandpa move cows then her and Teniele went to see a horror movie.  Monday night the two of us stayed up late and watched The Other Woman and laughed our heads off.  It was fun.  Tuesday I helped her head back to Rexburg where she is planning to work full-time.  She will be living at the Cedars still and rooming with Ashley.  Madison will still be there too.  We hope she finds a job soon and we will miss her terribly.  We had a wonderful week with her home.

Easter...

It was so nice going to church together and we enjoyed our Sunday School lesson which was various videos of Christ's last week prior to His resurrection.  The spirit was so strong.  I love how the Savior brings so much joy and hope in our lives and makes it possible that families can be together forever.
Just missing Brandon...
We have sure loved having our baby girl home....
We had a wonderful dinner with mom, dad, Teniele and her boys.  We played games and watched some Easter videos.  Grandma Joan came and it was wonderful to hear her sweet testimony, so special.

We made these resurrection rolls.  We were surprised how yummy they were and it was a fun object lesson on the resurrection.  We spread out some dough from Rodes rolls and then dipped a large marshmallow in melted butter then cinnamon and sugar which represents Jesus Christ.  We then placed it in the middle of the dough and pressed the dough around the marshmallow.  Then we dipped the roll in more butter, cinnamon and sugar and baked them.  When you crack it open the marshmallow is gone leaving an empty tomb.  It was pretty cool and so yummy.  Scott made the comment that this was a more spiritual Easter Sunday than he can remember.

We went to Mallory's mission farewell on April 14th.  She did a wonderful job and will be such a good missionary.  She goes into the MTC in Provo on April 17th and will be there six weeks before serving in Milan, Italy.  We are all so excited for her.

Brandon's 25th Birthday...

Scott had a track meet on the 11th so we had his party at his home on the 12th.  They got him these awesome cakes.  The big one was a red velvet cake and the small one was a chocolate cake with hot Cheeto frosting.  Way too spicy for me but he loved it!

I love this picture of him!

He had fun blowing out his candles which would keep lighting back up!

Maria and I both had the same idea of giving him video games so he ended up with 14 I think.  He was pretty excited.  I was happy to find a Lord of the Rings game.  He would play hours with Travis and Tony when he was younger and his nickname was Legolas.  We also got him the sweatshirt and sweats and seven other basketball and baseball games.  It was pretty cool they found him a guitar hero game plus they got him some clothes, two headphones and another game controller.  He got spoiled again as usual.  They are so good to him.  After the party we took him home for the night.  It was fun getting these cute pictures with the two boys.  He did pretty good except for not sleeping during the night and I think because of that he was a little more worked up on Saturday.  But overall it was a good visit.  I hope he enjoyed his birthday.

My cute boys!!! (:

Brady's Choir Festival...

Brady's middle school choir got to perform at a Choir Festival at TVCC.  They did a good job, I was happy I was able to break away from work to listen to them.  After they got done another director worked with them for a little while on different singing techniques.

I'm so grateful Brady has Kaylee for a friend.  They are so cute!

College Fun...

After conference they saw an advertisement for the Golden Girls and one of them said, "Hey that will be us in 60 years and so they had fun recreating these poses.  They are so cute!  Madison even put concealer on her lips to wash them out like Sophia Petrillo played by Estelle Getty.  Kacie was Rose Nylund played by Betty White.  Misa was Blanche Devereaux played by Rue McClanahan.  Abby was Dorothy Petrillo Zbornak played by Bea Arthur.

Monday Kacie had to get dressed up for an job interview with the College in the student housing and living department.  She said she thought it went really well.  These two decided to take some pictures because they were all dressed up.  They are so cute together.

189th General Conference...

It was raining so it was nice to have Scott listen with us on Saturday and Sunday.

It was pretty exciting to hear John McCune sustained as a general seventy.  Grandma Joan was able to be in there in attendance.

These were just a few of my favorite quotes.

New temples announced are always exciting...
