Quick Road Trip...

We decided to make a quick trip to Twin Falls after church to see Shoshone Falls.  We were a little worried about the weather because it was kind of rainy or about it being too crowded.  We got there around 7:00 and drove right to the falls which was nice.  We got our umbrella's out and then it stopped raining.  It was perfect, the weather was nice and it wasn't crowded at all.  We spent some time taking pictures and walking around enjoying the view.  The guy at the gate told us that life-flight had to come in for a guy that fell down a cliff and that backed up the traffic a ton so we were lucky. We then went to our hotel at the Best Western and the got some dinner at IHOP.  We had a great time.  The next day we went home but Mom stayed one more night with Brady, Teniele and her boys.

Kacie's last Parent Teacher Conference...

Can't believe this is Kacie's last parent teacher conference...sniff, sniff!  This was the easiest one I've had to attend.  We only had to see one of Brady's teachers (language arts/reading) and Kacie only had one too (Anatomy).  The middle school only required you to see the teacher if you had a grade below a B and the High School only required it if you had a grade below an A.  I was happy they were doing so well.  We then got food at A&W and then I took them to mutual.  I'm not happy that my kids are growing up so fast.  Brady is now taller than Kacie and me.  It will be interesting if he beats Scott.

Funeral and a Movie...

Scott and I went to John Cleaver's funeral.  Cody and Tina did a great job talking about their father and Tina's kids did an amazing job singing.  It was a nice funeral even though it was raining.

It was so nice to get a chance to visit with Tina and her husband Troy for a little bit.

Cody, Tina, Matt Pam and Nathan
John's siblings...
After the funeral we went to see the new Beauty and Beast movie... We all loved it and it was so nice to get to spend the day with Scott.  That doesn't happen very often.  Kacie went shopping with Taylor for her birthday and then they went to see it too.

Beautiful Weekend...

We had a wonderful weekend. Friday night Jocelyn came over and watched a horror movie with us.  I think I watched maybe 30% of it. haha!  Saturday Scott and I were able to go with Kacie and Brady to do baptisms for the dead at the Boise Temple. This was Brady's first time and probably Kacie's last time with the youth. It was pretty special for us to be together in the temple. After Kacie had to hurry and leave to go on her Sadie's date so she wasn't able to be with us when we took the pictures.

I can't believe how big Brady is getting!
Brady wanted to eat at Popeyes and then get ice cream at SubZero.  We then picked up Brandon for the night.  We love it when he is so happy.  After we got home for an hour or so we headed to Scott's parent's house to visit with Travis and Tony and their families.  We all fell in love with little Paxton...he is so cute and lovable!

Buddies Forever...
Too cute!! Paxton actually reminded me a lot of Brady when he was a baby especially with that little tongue of his...
Sure love my buddy!
Natalie and Paxton...
Kacie was sad she missed this because of her date...

Kacie asked Heath to Sadies...I thought this was cute!
Heath made this for Kacie all my himself and gave it to her with four cans of Mountain Dew.
Jocelyn went with Andres Gonzalez and Mallory went with Gavin Hartley so there was a Hartley with each date.  The theme was dynamic duos.  Kacie and Heath were Woody and Buzz from Toy Story.  Jocelyn and Andres were Salt and Pepper.  Mallory and Gavin were Guacamole and Tacos. They did a scavenger hunt at the Village in Meridian, went to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings and got some candy at Winco before going to the dance.  They got to the dance around 9:30 and there was hardly anyone there so they hung out with the Dutch Bro people, got their pictures taken, maybe danced once and helped clean up.  They then went back to the Hartley's house and played games.  Kacie said she had a lot of fun plus they won the scavenger hunt! (:
You've got a friend in me!  Too cute!
Their pictures turned out so cute!!!

Sunday morning we decided to stay home from church with Brandon.  Scott and Brandon laid on our bed for a long time listening to music.  He was so calm and happy...I know Scott really enjoyed it!  We then had a nice dinner at Mom and Dad's house and celebrated Valeda and Scott's birthdays.  Mom made a beef roast and I made Scott's favorite Texas Sheet Cake.  Everything was so yummy! We played 5 Crowns and enjoyed soaking in the warm sunshine outside...it was so nice!  I was happy to get a few pictures with Brandon smiling.  Then the five us went together to take Brandon back to his home.  Love weekends like this...just perfect!
