Oregon State Middle School Championships

Kacie had to do three starts due to a couple of false starts and so then her nerves got the best of her and she didn't get a very good start.  She ran 14.48 and got 16th place. Kelsee Tucker next to her got 17th.

Heath got 4th in the 1500m

Kacie jumping 14'2.5"

Taylor jumped really good too with a jump of 13'2.50 and got 11th place.
We were so excited that Kacie made it to the finals and got 5th place!
Not to shabby for out 31 girls that jumped!

Ruby Pascacio - 1st leg of the 4x400 relay
Ruby got them a huge lead (about 40-50 yards) out of the 7 teams racing.  Then Mallory and Kacie were able to maintain it.  In fact you can see Mallory look behind to see if they stopped the race because there was no one near her.  But then there was a crazy runner from Scappose that caught Delia and then she wasn't able to catch her.  We were all so surprised they got 2nd place.  They were just hoping to get a 6th place medal.

Mallory Jensen - 2nd leg
Kacie 3rd leg
Not the best hand-off...Delia just stood there but I don't think it would have made a difference.
Delia Deleon-4th leg of the 4x400 relay
They did so good!  So exciting to watch!

It was fun to see Nicol Gahley there.  Their team got 3rd place for Hinze in the green.

Happy Day....Out for the Summer!!!
