Work Photos & Halloween...

They had a pumpkin decorating/carving contest at work so I thought I would participate.  Unfortunately,  mine wasn't scary enough to win. haha!  I thought it was cute though. (:

They wanted to take some work photos of everyone.  I don't have the big group photo but I got some of these with Stephanie, Nately, Jennifer, and Liz.  Shortly after these were taken Jennifer quit working to take more college classes.

Celebrating Kaylin...

It has been a long time since we were all together, so we decided to celebrate Kaylin's birthday early.
I can't believe she would be 40 years old, boy how we miss her.

Reid shot a pheasant so he wanted Chad to try some so they fried it up.
It tasted like I remembered, haha!

Cassie Vargas' Funeral...

We were so sad to hear of Cassie's passing and extremely heartbroken for her kids and family.  There was a lot of support at her funeral and her service was so spiritual from the piano piece that Annie played to all the wonderful memories shared by her kids, Haylie Preston and Carson, her father Neill, and her brother Aaron.  I was sad I had to rush out during the closing song to make it to my hair and doctor appointment.  I did get to visit with some family during the viewing but that wasn't long enough.  Cassie will be greatly missed.

Brady's Driver's License...

We were so excited that Brady passed his driver's test and got his license.  We paid $75.00 for a third-party tester but I think it was worth the money.  We just met a lady at the mall parking lot.  I paid her then went into Ashley Furniture and looked around, used their restroom, and then Brady called saying he was done.  I was so excited when I saw the huge grin on his face.

Girls Weekend...

The four of us finally made our girl's trip happen.  We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Salt Lake City/Cottonwood area.  It was so nice and so fun to do this before Kacie has her baby.  After we checked into the hotel we then met Mckinley at the Cheese Factory for dinner.  We had our meal then took our cheesecake to go.  It was so fun catching up and we had a great server.

You can see our server above Mckinley.  I can't remember what these two were laughing about but it was so fun to see them together.

How did we get to be so old and need reading glasses, haha!
I was so excited to finally get some pumpkin cheesecake.  After dinner, we went to the hotel and hung out.  Saturday we went and found Kacie a baby car seat at The Baby Cubby.  I can't believe all the gadgets they have now for babies.

Mom treated us at Zuppas for lunch which was super yummy.
We then went to Thanksgiving Point.
We spent quite a bit of time at the butterfly biosphere

I love this picture of Kacie.  It did feel pretty creepy with them on you.

So many pretty butterflies.
We then walked through the gardens making our way to the Tree of Life.  Along the way, we saw all the scarecrows.

Kacie's cute little baby bump.

At the butterfly gift shop, we got cheap mood rings which was so fun to see the colors changing.  The tree of life exhibit was amazing.  There were so many cool statues.

We were told this is the largest man-made waterfall.
We were all pretty tired after all the walking, especially Kacie, and then we went to IKEA and did more walking, haha!  I was pretty excited to finally be able to check it out.  I got some cute baby dishes for when baby Wheeler comes to visit and I got a big serving dish and some placemats.  I couldn't believe how reasonably priced everything was.

We were able to get a dinner reservation at Tuscany.  It was so yummy.  Mckinley got Tuscan Pulled Pork and Beef Meatloaf.

Kacie got Wood oven Lasagna and Rosie and I had Chicken pasta with butternut squash and other veggies.  It was so yummy.

Then for dessert, we had a super yummy bread pudding with ice cream.  It was so fun, and so good!  After our dinner, we walked around to check it out.  It's a pretty cool restuarant.

It was such a fun weekend, it just didn't last long enough.
