Meridian Temple Youth Cultural Celebration...

Brady decided to join the choir for the youth cultural celebration.  They practiced and rehearsed for almost three months.  Tracy and Caroline Boster along with Julene Bowns were the Nyssa Stake music directors.

I was happy he had some buddies he could sing with...Howie Rushton, Porter Carlton and Chase Johnston.  A couple of times Tracy and Caroline told me what a good job Brady was doing and that he had a great singing voice.

Taylor was able to go to the Temple to get pictures with the youth from the 16 stakes involved.

On the morning of the performance we had to be in Parma by 5:30 to ride a bus over to Taco Bell Arena at Boise State.  I was the choir chaperone for the two Nyssa wards.  I was in charge of eight kids but one had her mother with her.
Kayla Robinson Carroll was also a choir chaperone and it was so fun to get to hang out with her and reminiscence about our childhood.  She is in the Caldwell East Stake.
When we arrived at the gym they arranged the kids by height and Brady just about had a meltdown until we found Josh Dorathy for him to seat by.  He is so nice to Brady.
Some Nyssa kids listening to President Uchtdorf speak including Mckenzie Schulthies in yellow.  He was excellent and spoke for about 5 minutes.
The performance starts with this grandpa talking to his grandkids about his treasures that relate to the history of Meridian, Idaho and the Temple.

They sounded amazing and I often would tear up listening to them during the rehearsal and the performance.
You can see Kayla and I in this picture.
This is where I was sitting in connection to Brady.
Wendy Bleazard, the director over all the stakes.  She was amazing and had so many faith building stories to tell the youth.  I often got goose bumps and teared up when she told them.

Eagle/Star - A Marvelous Work with the Choir
He said a few more remarks and then the audience sang We Thank Thee O God For a Prophet.

My group, Makayla Kesler, Michalea & Chloe Savage, LynzieTorres, Joshua Dorathy, Porter Carlton and Brady plus Meg and Mary Woodruff pictured below.

These four all became buddies over the three months of rehearsals...
They gave all the kids this backpack and a bracelet.
What a wonderful experience, I'm so glad I was able to be a part of it and I'm pretty sure Brady enjoyed it too!

Such a beautiful temple...can't believe it's ours.
