Chicago, Illinois...

Leaving Minneapolis and Snapchating Kacie, haha!

It was pretty driving through Wisconsin.  We had a nice lunch at Culver's in De Forest, WI for $29.61.  We were amazed by all the dairies but we saw very few dairy cows. Haha!

This was the incredible view from our hotel room at the Hyatt Place Wicker Park on the 8th floor, room number 818.  The traffic however was horrible getting here.  So we decided we would be using Uber for the rest of our stay in Chicago.  Our first ride was to Wrigley Field for $27.00.  Brady and I both got a Cub's T-shirt from a shop outside of the stadium before we went in for $71.66.

I changed into my new Cub shirt in the restroom so I could wear it for the game.

Scott thought it was pretty funny how they wouldn't let the hose touch the field.

They still use the manual scoreboard which I think might be the only ballfield still using them.  You could see someone open the door to change the score.  Pretty cool!
I got the classic Chicago dog and it was really good!  Brady got a plain hot dog and Scott got an Italian beef sandwich. Our hot dogs came to $30.96 and Scott's sandwich was $23.24

The evolution of the Chicago Cub! :)

We had pretty good seats!
We had so much fun and we were lucky to see a great game.
The Cubs were down 5 to 0 and came back to win it 10 to 6!
Attendance for our game was 30,832. :)
We had some yummy oat ice cream in these cute little Cub hard hats for $21.01.

The Uber driver told us we would have to walk a few blocks away from the stadium to catch another ride because they closed all the streets close to the stadium.  The walk out of there was a little eerie since we didn't really know what we were doing.  As we were walking a Lift driver that was parked on the street said his ride was canceled and wondered if we wanted a ride.  I was a little cautious but he looked legit and I do think he made more money off of us which was about $40.00, but we made it safely back to our hotel which was the most important part.
Our night view from our hotel room.  We loved our room and I'm sad I never got any pictures.  Scott and I had a king-size bed and Brady had a huge sectional couch that he slept on.  We absolutely loved our view.  The next morning Scott and I went and had a wonderful breakfast on the 7th floor.  Brady opted to have a pop-tart in the room.  There was an amazing view of the city from our table.  We then got ready to take an Uber to the Navy Pier for $32.00.  We walked around for a bit then went to catch our riverboat tour.

Just before our boat ride the temperature dropped about ten degrees and the clouds started coming in so our view of the buildings wasn't great but I guess it could have been worse.  Other than being a little cold it was really fun.  We enjoyed hearing about the history of Chicago, the horrible fire of 1871, and the different types of buildings.  There are 119 skyscrapers which is crazy.

Trump Tower

A lot of the buildings are apartments.

I think he said these townhouses sold for over 2 million a piece.

This is the king and queen of Chicago.
The Willis Tower was previously named the Sears Tower and I don't remember the name of the queen.

He explained how they left one floor open to allow for the wind to blow through and help prevent the swaying of the building.  Because it was so cold we spent a long time shopping and staying indoors.  We decided to get some yummy deep-dish pizza at Giordano's of the Navy Pier.  While we were waiting for our table we got a few Navy Pier souvenirs.  We got Kacie a sweatshirt, Cole a long-sleeve T-shirt, Brady got a sticker and Scott got a T-shirt.  Our food was so good and we were happy Brady even liked it.

Dinner cost us $92.65.

After our meal, we took a few more pictures and got some popcorn at Garrett's before we walked to Millennium Park.

These pictures don't quite do this view justice.
Seeing all the boats and this massive lake Michigan was pretty impressive.

We got some fun pictures by Cloud Gate, better known as The Bean.

Can you see us?

This digital fountain was pretty fun to watch as the faces would change.  We had a lot of time to watch it while we were waiting for the price of the Uber charges to come down.  When we first looked for one it was over $60.00 but after waiting for about an hour we got one for around $30.00.  It's crazy how it takes you thirty minutes to go four miles.  We wanted to go to the top of one of the tall buildings but we thought it might be clearer in the morning.  However, the next morning was even worse so we didn't get a chance maybe next time.  On our last night, we watched some YouTube videos about the history of Chicago and the huge stockyards that used to be there south of Chicago.  The working conditions there were horrible but it was really interesting.
