Rexburg & 4th of July...

Friday, July 1st after work the three of us headed to Rexburg for the long holiday weekend.  Of course, we had to stop at Jimmy John's and Dutch Bros in Nampa.  That seems to be our tradition.  We got there around 10:00pm.  Saturday Scott and Cole had fun shooting birds with their airguns at a local dairy.  Kacie, Brady, and I had a nice walk around the neighborhood before we got showered.  After they got back and cleaned up we went to Millhollow for lunch and then to Idaho Falls for a little shopping and some more Dutch Bros.  Scott got some tennis shoes and we got Brady some shorts, socks, and a couple of T-shirts.  I found a five-dollar shirt. haha!  That evening we had a nice meal at their house of Salmon, green beans, and onion roasted potatoes.   I attempted another Texas sheet cake.  This one turned out a little better but Scott said it still wasn't my best one. haha!   Sunday we went to the Grand Targhee ski resort and rode a ski lift up to the top to see the incredible view of the Grand Tetons.  It was so fun and the view was so amazing!!!

So beautiful!  The only thing that would make this place better is if it wasn't quite so windy!
I'm not positive but these plants sure looked liked carrots to me!

After we got back down from the hill we sat and people-watched for a little bit before going back to their house.  It was a fun outing.  Below is a picture of all the trails you can go on.  During the summer people like to ride up and then mountain bike back down which Cole loves to do.

On the 4th of July Cole went mountain biking with a friend.  The rest of us went on another walk around the neighborhood before going to lunch at Cafe Rio and then the movies.  We went to see Maverick.  This was Scott and my third time watching it and Brady's first.  Kacie saw it at a drive-in but said it was so much better in the theater and I think it was my favorite time seeing it too! (:  Mom sent us this cute picture of dad at an anniversary party.  This little guy would put his hand over his heart every time he saw dad with his American Construction hat with the flag on it.... too cute!

That night we went to watch the fireworks at a golf course there in Rexburg.  It was fun!  Tuesday the 5th we headed home after getting some Millhollow again...haha!  We always loved it when we can spend time with Cole and Kacie, it just isn't ever long enough! (:
